some MORE questions :-]

I've been using the phone for about 24 hours and love it. Just wondering:

- M3PO already answered this one, but I'm really hoping it's possible to use voice-activated dialing through bluetooth. Has anybody gotten this to work?

- I'm assuming when I see a blinking green light in the upper right corner, it signifies something... txt msg? voicemail? or just any general alert?

- my main email address is through yahoo, and was wondering the easiest way to check this email (without going to their web site every time).

- is there a shortcut for vibrate? or do I have to go through menu/options each time? all my older phones had a shortcut on the keypad.

- one app that everybody seems to recommend is Advanced Task Killer, and I n...

I'm taking my droid back, but does anyone know???

This phone just isn't for me.

A question. I purchased it on my "new every 2" cycle, can I return the phone and go back to my old blackberry, or will it have to be an 'exchange' since I effectively signed a new 2 year contract with the purchase?

I want to return it and wait for the next Verizon release later this year or early next year.

Anyone know the rules on this?

Carrier's?

The Droid operates under the same type of network mode as Sprint. Does that mean it can be activated and used by Sprint?

It has been reported that the Droid sales have been slow.

CNET says that only 100K units were sold but was told that VZW expected to sell over 200K units. Verizon wants a hit badly to compete with AT&T. Well the Omnia II and the PRE will be here soon.

One week with the Droid...still going through BB withdrawls

I've had the Droid for a whole week now and I like it, but I'm not in love with it. I'm still going through Blackberry withdrawl.

Pros:
GPS and GPS windshield mount
Custom screens
Fast browsing
The mousepad/curser on the keyboard is nice
The landscape touchscreen keyboard and spell check is the best i've seen on any touchscreen smartphone including the iphone
Large beautiful screen

Cons:
Heavy
Camera is horrible
Poor battery life
Speaker phone quality isn't as good as BB
Physical keyboard is worthless and unnecessary
The calendar on the droid only shows the 1st meeting for that day, not the next meeting

So why do I still have BB withdrawl?
BB messenger
Home screen email and text message pop ups
I miss the simplicity...

Exchange not working

I am trying to set up my corporate email via exchange on this thing. Keeps telling me that user id and password are incorrect. What the heck? Our IT department can not figure this out.

Any ideas? There is absolutely no support at Motorola, Verizon or Google for Android.

The worst phone I ever got

This piece of crab is really junk. It freezes alot. The screen won't rotate as it supposed to, I was googling the other day trying to show my son my country" Israel" and that crab did not even show nothing but blank. Go check it out yourself, you can see every country in the world except Israel, how cruel?
I am about to return it and get my money back. I HATE THIS PHONE and I do not recommend it.

Sceen problem?

I have had the phone since the day it came out and love it! I don't have any of the problems that i have read people complaining about. Only thing I just noticed is a line under the date when the phone is locked. When I unlock the phone the line is gone. Does anyone else have this line on their phone in lock mode?

Charging

Is it possible to charge this phone and have it turned off at the same time??

Every time I power off my phone then plug it in to charge it powers up again. If I have it plugged in and power it off, it also powers right up again if I am using the wall charger. If I use the USB charger and power it off while plugged in it doesn't charge.

I know can put it in the sleep or standby mode and the display is off but if I get a call it still rings. I know I can put it into silent mode, but is that really the only option?

Any thoughts?

BTW this is my first smart phone and it is sweet.

PS anyone know how to download the flash player for this thing so I can watch flash video on the web.

Thanks

I love this phone but I wonder why they used a capacitive screen?

Instead of a resistive screen so a stylus could be used as well as a finger?

Little glitch with my phone yesterday

I set up some appointments in my calendar yesterday morning (for later in the day) and the phone did not notify me. I tried a couple tests and then after 2 hours with Verizon and 40 minutes with Motorola, checking settings and running test appointments, the tech finally had me pop the battery. Works fine now.
Something had turned off my sound, even though all settings indicated it should be making sound. I even got a call while on the phone with Verizon and told them the phone only vibrated, whereas it was set to vibrate AND ring.

I guess I shoould have known to pull the battery myself, but it was such a weird problem, we all thought it was in the settings.

Just sayin'...
