Motorola V710 Questions! from a Verizon, Michigan Customer

I currently own the Motorola T720. I bought that phone the first month it cam out. I update the roaming capabilities all the time and I took it in to have the firmware upgraded. The connection is still not that great when I travel further north than Lansing, Michigan. I never had this issue with my Timeport. I found out from a Verizon Wireless Technician that the issue is that all Verizon Wireless phones use PRL (preferred roaming list). The Timeport did not.

That was the background - now on to my question(s). I know that my connections most likely will not improve, but should I bother and upgrade from a T720 to the V710? I would like to stick with Motorola phones. FYI - the camera aspect of the phone is not a selling point. T...

A question about the future....

I just wanted to see what you guys think is going to be the future of the wireless world. At one point I was convinced that Verizon/Sprint/Cingular would eventually end up competing with DSL and cable companys with broadband wireless access. Basically I figured people would be willing to pay a little more money a month to have broadband where ever they were (if they were in a coverage area).

Now with cities talking about deploying wifi throughout the city (I think Philly was talking about it). They said they would charge people a nominal fee of $10 a month for broadband access... This would but a wrench in Verizon or anyone else's plan

What do you guys think is the future?

Help

I am a technician for a major cellular company...where can I get a book listing all of the carriers, where they are each located per state, what scan they are on, a number to contact them, and info regarding their cellular service. I had a book like that years ago, but it is gone...would love to get another one.

All Digital vs. Tri-Mode

How critical do you think is it to have a Tri-Mode phone these days. I have always used Tri-Mode phones and haven’t had many reception problems. I am thinking about getting a new phone that is all digital (Samsung SCH-A670) using Verizon service.

Bluetooth question: Help with Jabra 250 headset

If anyone can help me with this question I'd really appreciate it. While using my headset with my V600, when my phone rings it only makes the beeping sound in my ear instead of my current ringtone. I know that my headset is capable of playing those tones, because I've sucessfully linked it to my labtop and even used it to listen to Mp3's. So is there anything I can do to tweak my V600 to play my actual ringtone instead of just beeping???

Cingular GSM Help

I have a LG L1200 w/ Cingular. I have the GSM Nation plan. About five days ago I went to school about 50 miles from my home calling area. About 20 miles before my school, my phone went to Cingular Extended. It worked great no problems. This morning I woke up and there was no Cingular or Cingular Extended on my phone. In the corner where is used to have the G w/ the signal bars, there is now a T w/ signal bars. If I try to call someone, the phone beeps at me saying "Emergency Only." I called CS and they had me turning the phone off, wipe off the Sim card. None of this worked. They told me they show the area covered and should work. I drove the 20 miles or so until it switched over, which it did, but then on my way back it went blank again. Do...

CALLING ALL TECH'S!

Someone find out what we can do here. I want to use my new vx 7000 on Sprint. My mom has sprint and I want to let her use my new phone if I can find a way to make it happen. I heard that this site would be packed with the knowledge to make something like this happen. Was that a rumor to be chalked up as urban legend? I need to find out what it would take to use this phone on sprint. Please help me.
