Palm Pre

Okay I know we've had a bunch of threads about this but I thought it necessairy to bring it up again.
Anyone hear anything new about release dates or prices?
Sprint still says they don't know anything about it but I have learned to not trust customer care reps like myself ๐Ÿ˜
Let me know what you guys might have heard.

Any new Nokia phones to AT&T?

I doubt they'd ever pick up the 5800 musicxpress but I was curious if AT&T had any other Nokia phones in the works? Specifically I'd love to see them pick up the 6260 slide... but I have this nagging feeling that Nokia is only going to sell it in their stores in NYC and Chicago once (if) it's offered in the US...

My 2 Cents on Sprint losing millions of customers.

I think what people fail to realize is that these numbers are not a true representation of actual "customers" or "accounts". Now I have worked for Sprint for almost 3 years now, and i ma sure that any employee will agree that the name of the game, up until a year ago, was "slamming lines" or adding lines for people who weren't eligible for upgrades, or customers who didn't have insurance and damaged or lost their phones. Every employee in the company was doing the same thing, adding a line for $9.99 a month, getting the customer a new phone and swapping the device from it's new number on to the customers daily used number. So a single customer with 1 phone could commonly have 1 or sometimes 2 extra lines that weren't even being used.

No Commitment on iPhone

Later in March, AT&T will be announcing that the iPhone is available to anyone, upgrade eligible or not, at the full retail price of $499 or $599 with NO CONTRACT. Hence, no ETF. Yes, that's right. NO... CONTRACT. Stay tuned, kiddies.

Who's going out of business?

I caught some blurb on TV "Tonight at 11, a cellular carrier is going out of business. Will you still have to pay an ETF?" ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Who could it be?

Of course the TV station doesn't update their website until after the story runs. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

Sprint No Contracts Soon?!!!

This is bound to get some people talking. I just heard an amazing RUMOR (please understand this is just a rumor I heard, this is Rumor mill, so I am sharing it). Sprint is soon thinking of eliminating contracts for those customers who wish to pay full price for any of their phones. Buy a phone, pay the activation fee, pick a plan and you're done!! I mean if this is true, it will completely change the industry. The 3rd largest carrier allowing customers to sign on with no contracts? I would imagine they would have to increase the amount of the activation fee's, but Wow!!! Any plan, any phone, no contract. Do I see huge lines at the Sprint Stores once again? The fact that their phones can't be used on any other network but their own is...
