RAVEN SHUT UP!!!!

Just thought I'd start a new thread for this one 😁 I'm tired of seeing how your posting that customers can take their phones from carrier to carrier. Unless AT&T or the other companies unlock they phone, WHICH THEY WONT, then its not possible. SO STFU!!! Your in WEX and you dont know anything. Go ask your supervisor. Or better yet ask someone who will know. Next time you speak with a CSR ask them. Because unlike you we actually take real calls and know more then 1/100000 of the company policy

Will the Motorola V600 come out for Verizon Wireless?

The V600 just came out for AT&T Wireless (as it is a GSM quad band world phone). Of course Verizon has no GSM service and no plans to switch to one, but will they make a CDMA version of the V600? They already have the body of the phone (and it appears to be one of, if not, THE best new phone on the market) so I really hope they put a version out for the largest and most popular wireless provider in the United States. Just wondering if anyone knew of anything.

Question for the troops...

Ok, so I know that we've got a pair of PTT sprint phones heading out this week, I've seen them both, and I've heard rumors that sanyo has another one coming out and samsung has one coming out that are both going to have a camera as well as the PTT and other features..

has anyone seen or heard of this as well? and if so, have any of you seen a model number or know which is supposed to come out first or when?

if anyone knows, let me know

SGH-i500 dead?

Rumor has it that it is "delayed" and with the SGH-i505 slated for release early next year it's been speculated that the i500 is not going to happen.

Anyone have news or thoughts on the subject?

Also, is the i505 coming to America? I have seen no mention of that and have no idea what GSM bands it's on. Help anyone? I really want a decent GSM clamshell Palm OS phone. Not that I'm picky or anything... ;)
Thanks in advance!

California Driving / Phone usage laws 1/1/04

Has anyone heard of changes to driving laws in California, effective 1/1/04? Supposedly it will be illegal to hold a handset to your ear while driving, you must use a head set, wired or bluetooth, hands free or speaker phone. If not you are subject to a ticket and appropriate fine. Is there any truth to the rumor or is it just a rumor?

If so, there would seem to be a big push for hands free, speaker phones and bluetooth.

Any answers?

Alltel making some big changes

Just a heads up...

Just got an inside bulletin; Alltel is about to make some big changes to their minute plan offerings and feature packages.

As of Nov 14th, almost every single minute plan (Local, National, and Total Freedom) will have more anytime minutes, for the same price. Also, almost all plans will include unlimited mobile2mobile minutes, and preview voicemail and basic digital advisor will be included on National and Total Freedom plans.

I know this was one of the biggest headaches for new customers signing up with Alltel, paying extra for voicemail and notification. Should make it a good deal easier to sell Alltel (even though quite a few people think they suck lol). At least now they will be more competitive.

If anyone ...

Number portability

I currently have Nextel service and am thinking of switching to TMobile. Yes, I might be crazy, but I'm sick of carrying around a brick (the i90c). I live in the DC metro area... Voicestream opinions anyone? I'm looking to get the SonyEricsson T610.

If I switch to T-Mobile now, can I keep my same number. Has the number portability gone into effect?

ps - I'm surprised there is no 'search' feature on this discussion board. I'm sure this has been asked before....

Number Portability....Not what it seems...

Working for ATTWS WEX Department...people are all scared that we are going to lose customers to this number portability, but what people really don't know is that the only companies(if you have digital) that you are able to go to is Cingular(since they are the only ones that have TDMA) or Suncom(but then again, that is just coming back to us... 😉

So, really the most phones that should even think of transferring are GSM.....but I haven't even mentioned the cancellation fees or the fact that you have to make sure that the phone is compatibility with the phone carrier, we were just briefed on this, so hah...Oh, yea the official date is Nov. 24

New Clamshell Phones for Alltel

I have Alltel as a cellular provider, and one of the things that upsets me the most about Alltel is the fact that they have a crappy selection of phones. It appears to me that they get the other carriers phones once the other carriers have had them out for a while. So the thing that I want to know the most, is if Alltel will be coming out with any new clamshell style phones between now and the end of the year, Or will I have to switch carriers.....Please advise

T62U *777*

An old tip in a new place. 😁

The Sony Ericsson GAIT phone, the T62U, can be adjusted a little by the user. Enter *777* and reboot your cell phone. When it comes back on it will show a letter for the system you are using (G=GSM, T=TDMA, A=AMPS).

You can now go to the menu>settings>networks and then change things like your Protocol Stack (for if you want your cell phone to seek GSM only, act as primarily a TDMA phone, etc...). Reboot phone for this to take effect.
You can also go to SID/SOC and disable this list, but that can get costly.

For disabling these features: Menu>Extras>Debug Tools>Advanced Debug>Off. Then reboot your phone.

The main reason for not resetting your Protocol stack is that it may bypass some fea...

Motorola C350g's disappearance

It vanished with Cingular. Kinda spooky considering it was 10 times better than the C331g.

Anyone have an explanation?
