Rumor Mill

I heard a rumor that Verizon will be offering the Blackberry Bold sometime in the 1st half of 09'. Anyone have any further info? Verizon seems to be bordering on mediocre-ism with their smartphones.

We are going first see the phone on January 26th 2009. I'm guessing T-Mobile and HTC don't want to be left behind with their G1 phone while Motorola and Samsung release their new Android phones during Q2 of 2009.

So here's a new phone debuting at MacWorld 2009. They call it the iPhone Pro. Think this was what Nintendo's been trying to come up with since 2001.

It's got everything the iPhone 3G lacks-

[B]-qwerty keypad[/B]
[B]-gaming buttons[/B]
[B]-a high resolution camera[/B]
[B]-greater storage capacity[/B]

I have been a life long Verizon guy, I am not trying to spur an argument on the pro’s and con’s of Verizon. I love the Iphone, but I love everything except the carrier. One thing I have noticed with cell phones is once something becomes popular the other carriers imitate it (for good reason). I think we saw that w/ the touch screens and the smart phones….but one thing I have not seen imitated is the browser and “app store” of the iphone. The browser, using wifi, is so beyond any other carrier browser I cant believe it hasn’t been copied and the app store seems to be a cash cow and nobody is jumping on that either. Does anyone know why?

I have AT&T service and have been waiting for the Samsung Omnia to be available as several web sites indicated that this phone may be picked up by AT&T. Now as of yesterday, I learn that Verizon will be selling this phone. BUMMER! Seems as if AT&T is letting some of the good phones get away to their competitors. Does anyone know if AT&T intends to sell their own version of the Omnia under a different name perhaps and, if so, when it might be available? Thanks.

It worked great until my dog got a hold of it and just about half ate it. If he had any money I would make him pay for it. I guess I will have to go order another one.

I work in VZW Cstmr Care. I had a acct owned by HTC pop. The guy was calling in to activate a phone. Acct had 30-40 lines. I activated the phone and it showed up Test Device. I noticed almost every phone on the acct was a Test Device. I also noticed several had active SIM cards.

I asked the guy what phone it was. He said he had the Raphael, which I believe is the same as the Touch Pro. He said it is almost ready o launch and said expect Nov. if everything continued the way it was. He said he liked it a lot. He also said there are more Andriod phones coming. He was vague for dates and specifics but still some good info to hope for!

Anybody else know if this is true?? I've read it on several websites, they say they have "official" documents from att giving the launch date as oct 23rd.

I'm bored and wanted to download another game for my blackberry besides brickbreaker... but don't feel like paying for it.

states it's free but I'm nervous and can't find the FAQS to double check.

I am trying to get some info on this phone but cant find much only old information about it online. I have been told that this phone will be coming out soon for AT&T. does anyone know if this is true? I'm about to jump on T mobile got the HTC Dream. don't know if i should wait.
