SCH-A530 or VX-4400?

Any thoughts on which one would be a better choice-Samsung's SCH-A530 or LG's VX-4400? We're also considering the VX-4500. Thanks.

Is there a fix yet for V60s "missed calls?"

Has Mot/VZW released a firmware update to fix the problem with the V60s going completely silent? I am aware of the temporary "fix" whereby you set your key volume to anything other than 0. My S/W version is 8610_02.0F.02.

Thanks.

VZW worry free guarantee ?

Hello,

I have a LG4400 phone for 6 months, but suddenly the phone does not have any reception at my home. (It used to have 1 or 2 bar of reception before).

Would I be able to bring the phone to the local VZW store and exchange for a new phone under the warranty or their guarantee ?

Thanks in advance.

Treo 600 from Verizon?

Does anyone know if Verizon plans to carry the Treo 600? I don't really care for any of Verizon's current "smart phones" and don't want to switch carriers.

Verizon Wireless and tmobile is knocking out Att this quater.

Verizon Wireless and Deutsche Telekom AG's T-Mobile USA Inc. are the "big winners" in number transfers, Rollins said. Smith Barney analysts "would not be surprised for AT&T Wireless to post negative net adds versus our estimate of 50,000" customers in the first quarter, he wrote.

CCM Desktop Charger for Mot V60-series

Has anyone with a Motorola V60-series phone purchased this product? I have a V60s activated on Verizon and just purchased the OEM desktop charger and am appaled at the poor design of the unit. The CCM product looks great and I would welcome some feedback from people who own one.

Here is a link to the Desktop Station in case you are wondering what it is:

V65p

Why is there no mention of the V65p on Phonescoop? It was announced at the same time as the T300p as the next generation of CDMA PTT phones from Motorola.

I am hoping the V65p would be released at or around the same time as the T300p.

Does anyone have any information as to whether or not Verizon would release the V65p?

verizon heading south

Observation:

ever since VZW got its great review in CR they've been raising prices, lowering quality of customer support etc. When asked about something, all of the parrots (who do answer almost immediately) can say is we're rated number 1, so we can charge more. An unnamed VZW executive intimated that they've been hiring monkeys to lower costs, who have not been up to par. I've noticed that 5 calls to cust. serv. will give you 5 contradictory answers. They are allowed to ad-lib provided they say something stupid e.g., I asked if I could get night & weekend covering the 8-9pm slot, like they used to, the response was "we researched it and found that hardly anybody used that time frame, so we changed it to 9" when the real answer was tha...

Question

Do you charge a upgrading fee when purchasing new equipment? Not at the point of sale as an existing customer. Any feedback would be great. Thanks

Plan change?

I am a light cell phone user, who uses 3-400 minutes a month, but could once or twice a year (when things are busier) I end up using 6-700 minutes,

now if I were to go on the 39.99 plan for 400 minutes then I would spend well over $100 each of those busy months,

and if I were to go on a 59.99 plan for 800 minutes, I would be paying an extra $240 (plus tax) a year, and would be wasting all those minutes,

which leaves me only cingular, which I dont prefer, since I am a big fan of verizon,

what I wanted to know is; are they plan changes in the next month (before I sign a contract with Cingular)

[many people who work for verizon have told me, that the lastest promo of free in network calling is big enough, which to me makes no sen...

CDMA phone manufacturers

I've been looking around at what phones different carriers have had to offer and figure the best way to do it is to take recommendations on what phones/manufacturers NOT to get. I haven't got a lot of experience with CDMA, but I know where not to go with TDMA/GSM. Any models to look out for and keep far away?

Note I don't want to open a phone bashing thread here, only know which phones have problems with them. Sorry, motopaulie: Motorola is already ruled out due to bad personal experience, and it would take a lot for me to try one again.

Suggestions?

Any suggestions about cool new phones not at VZW Stores?

I am looking for a nice new phone that is fully compatible with Verizon wireless that can not be purchased at VZ Stores. Something a little more unique. I would like to keep it under $600. It should have some bells and whistles, but I don't have any specific requests.

Also Can anyone shed some light on the way outside CDMA phones work within VZW network. I see phones all over the Internet and in other countries that are CDMA phones. Are they compatible with VZ?
