RE: Treo 600 Link on the VZN Website

With all the speculation about the Treo 600 coming to vzn, how could vzn be so careless as to announce its arrival with a link on the website (see home page under "for business" ) does not work? Someone is sure not thinking.

Samsung sphi500 from Verizon?

I need a PALM phone and don't want to switch from Verizon. The Kyocera 7135 is not appealing; too big! Any ideas on plans for a CDMA i500 that Verizon would offer?

Any other (better) Palm phones on the horizon from Verizon?

Opinions please on the Moto-V60s...anyone used it?

...and would it be an upgrade from my Samsung A310? May go this route if I renew with Verizon. Thinking it would be nice to have a speakerphone...thanks in advance. 🙂

Unwanted Dialing

I have a Samsung 700 PDA/Phone and seem to have va problem that the thing will dial numbers on its own. I think this is from the fact that when I close up the case I have it in and place in my pocket, I must be excuting a dial command. Is there any way to "lock" the phone while not in use so this will not happen? I have not seen anything in the manual for it.

Any help would be appreciated.

delayed billing?

how does delayed billing work by verizon?

1) does it happen at all?
2) would I be charged as if, I made it in the month I used it, or the month I was billed in.

by AT&T if I used one month 400 out of my 500 minutes, and 100 of those 400 minutes were in delayed billing.

and next month I used 450 of my 500 minutes, I would be billed, as if it happend in month #2 and be charged for 50 mintes overage

Is GSM better than CDMA?

Does anyone know if GSM is better than CDMA?
What are the advantages, if any, of GSM. Is the call clarity or signal reliability better, or does the signal have a farther range? I know is Europe, they use GSM, but in the US, mostly CDMA. I know AT&T is switching to GSM.

Has anyone tried both? Was there a noticeable difference? Just curious.

New Fish!!!

Hi everybody! Hi Dr. Nick (For you Simpsons fans)! Fist time post-er here. This is a great forum. Very well-organized. But to get right to the point, I currently operate the "flawless" Motorola T720 and I'm sure that many of you know that that was a joke. I have had it for a little over a year now and you know what? It's about that time. Sure I could wait a little over half a year to upgrade for much cheaper. And maybe I should wait for the really great phones that are due out near the end of this year. But the fact is, I've stands all I could stands and I can't stands no more. I need a new phone. Now, everybody knows that Verizon hates to carry too many good phones at one time, so through some research on my part, it seems that ...

TREO 600 on Verizon

🙂

I spoke with Handspring the maker of the Treo yesterday and they confirmed that Verizon was in the process of testing the phone but admitted the process with Verizon was a pain in the a$$. While they are hoping for a May release you can never count on Verizon releasing a phone in a reasonable time.

Verizon's comments were "we like to test our phones thoroughly before releasing them to market". I quipped, "worked out well for you with the Kyocera and the recalls".

Horrible reception with VX4500. Help!

I recently upgraded from my 2 year old tri-mode audiovox to the LG VX4500. I chose this phone due to the generally outstanding reviews. Unfortunately I have had numerous dropped calls and the reception is very poor (cuts in and out). I live in the middle of San Diego (La Jolla) and never had a single reception problem with my old audiovox. Figuring that I must have a defective phone I exchanged it for a new one. Same thing. So I changed it again. Same dropped calls and poor reception. I'm considering the VX600 but fear I will have the same problem. I'm also considering the Samsung A530 but CNET reported the reception to be sub-par in California. Any suggestions or explanations why my reception would be so poor with supposedly a goo...
