EPIC < EVO

How can anyone say the EPIC is a better phone, aside from the personal preference on having a phisical keyboard. Every spec is either the same or better on the EVO unless there is something i missed. The screen is nice yeah but not anything special from me using them side by side. Also youtube videos suck on the EPIC, they look like watching a 13" tv from 1985 compared to an EVO being an HDTV, no exageration. The only other issue is battery life which is BS honostly..anyone who isnt getting 13-15 hours out of their EVO is doing something wrong, i get that with my 4G on. And thats after the 2.2 update took 4 hrs of battery life from my phone (still pissed about that). And then on top of all that the EPIC is gonna be $50 more expensive than th...

Hero slowed to a crawl...

This time it's my phone... 😁

So, anyways, the Hero is slow. Not just a little slow, but astronomically slow. Pressing any icon, including opening the Applications menu or opening the dialer, takes 15+ seconds to work. The SenseUI also crashes regularly.

There are no applications that should be modifying the phone calls, home screen, or SenseUI. There are no Task Managers/Killers installed, and the problem happens when everything except required functions is terminated via Manage Applications. The problem did not begin with the download or use of a new application, but just to make sure, I did delete all additional downloaded applications (there were not very many).

Next step is wiping the phone and starting anew to see if that wo...

Overheating Evos

Has anybody heard of a known defect or recall affecting HTC Evo phones or their batteries? In particular, I am looking for instances of alleged overheating or catching fire.

Any valid information is appreciated, thank you!

Real quick SPRINT question.

Can either the EVO or the EPIC be on a call/texting and tethered to the PC for internet access via USB or wireless at the same time? with no 4g access. So can I be on the phone talking and tethered to the computer getting internet at the same time?

Facebook question on EVO

Got set up w/my EVO's last week, and everything works great on the phone except the Facebook ap. I uploaded Froyo on it and everything on the phone is amazing, except the Facebook ap... from time to time it will tell me that it can't retrieve information etc. What needs to be done? I did a factory reset to make sure everything was set properly, but I need more help!

Any Mobile/Simply Everything

Okay. I've been a Sprint fan ever since the Simply Everything plan launched. The new commercials bashing AT&T and VZW's Unlimited Voice offerings for $69.99 are cool, but Sprint should go ahead an add in unlimited calling to landlines as well. DO IT SPRINT! DO IT!

Sprints number chaning system

SO THEY SAY you can only change your number 3x per billing cycle, but indeed that is a lie. JUst in 2 days, Ive changed my number 40x or more, bc I never get a number I like. Yes i have a problem with my number, if i dont get a number I like, I dnt want it. and I want it changed again and again, and Ive had 2 sprint reps who've changed my number more than 3x, more than 20-30x each a piece!! SO why do you tell customers they can only change it 3x a billing a cycle when other reps dont care!! Just dumb people following rules!!

Another question is why is one day the phone numbers will begin with 202-xxxx and another day the phone numbers will begin with 759? how does this number change system work?

New to Sprint -- Comments and questions

So I am moving from St Louis to San Antonio next month and just activated with Sprint since my current provider -- US Cellular -- doesn't have native coverage or stores down there.

I was able to get two EVO's relatively quickly and set up with one of the family plans ($129 any time any mobile). I was super happy with the set up process and the overall interaction and thought the 1st call with the Sprint rep was super impressive. I've worked in wireless before and the first impression was a very good one.

I've got a few questions though, that didn't come up until after I got off the phone and hoped for help from here:
1.) My job (Enterprise RAC) gets a 20 or 25% discount from Sprint, but the lady with CS couldn't apply it to my ac...

Transport Error on Nextel?

Just curious if anybody from Nextel Tech knows what this actually means or how to resolve it. I'm in care, this particular error always has us transferring up, but if there is a way we can fix it then that would save our transfer rate.

WHY I AM LEAVING SPRINT!!

Dear Fellow Droidsters,

I am done. It's over. Kaput! I will be receiving 2 new phones Fedexed overnight from Verizon Wireless tomorrow. How this happened is one for the books!!

I don't have to tell you the numerous problems we Moment owners have had to endure with our phones. About a week ago my phone began to freeze up, shut off, some of the programs would not work at all. It dawned on me that since my first Moment (have exchanged twice-both Moments; mine and my wife's) the large amount of time I have spent making trips to the local Sprint store, calls to Sprint tech support, searching this forum, all in an attempt to correct problems was insanely unacceptable.

When I realized the lost time both Moments have caused me, I decided to...

android 2.2

so i believe sprint just became the first carrier with the android 2.2 update available. So is sprint now gonna be the company that everyone else is catching up to. I mean i know verizon is verizon, i feel AT&T is a sinking ship and t-mo isnt advancing but they are trying to upgrade their service. i mean people give sprint a hard time without even checking the service out themselves. i traveled to Las vegas in a car(road trip) and didnt lose service not once. all I'm saying is if more people tried sprint they wouldnt be so judgemental to them. and im will finish by saying i cant wait till i get my hands on the epic 4g

Looking for a very good mid range BT Headset to work with the Evo 4G - Any recommendations?

😁
Here is the criteria I'd like to specify before you all throw in your 2 cents worth of recommendations:

1. Volume quantitatively for the user (i.e., moi!) has to be loud enough to be able to hear while driving on the highways at 60+ mph. Being able to hear it with the Windows down is a definite plus! Other criteria considered here is loud enough to use while traveling through noisy Airport Terminals. (Yes, DFW can be noisy).

2. Sound quality on both sending (i.e., the other person hears me well), as well as the receiving (i.e., I can hear the other person well) has to be very good - excellent (based upon your experience of course). One more thing: I LOATHE STATIC WITH A PASSION! 😈 👿

3. Long talk time and sta...
