Froyo sucks!

I don't know if I should blame Google or HTC but they can keep their supposed "upgrade". Since I updated my EVO from 2.1 the battery life is far worse, like 6 hrs less. And the phone runs slower on top of it, the apps never stay closed in the background even with my task killer running like they would before. Anytime i go into it there are anywhere from 5 to 20 apps running in the background just bogging my phone down. They can keep flash..id rather have the smooth phone I had a week ago back. So warning, I'd ignore the update if i were you, if you haven't alrady done it. Just until they have like a firmware fix or something..idk.

Will WiMax make it to markets that have not yet gotten Rev A?

Just wondering, bu does anyone know if WiMax is slated to roll out in markets that don't have EVDO Rev A yet, such as El Paso, TX. I wonder because there is Clearwire services in the area but no Wimax announcements. It'd be a bummer to get a great phone that'll be hobbled by REV 0 service AND still have to pay the $10 premium.

Can finally say I am satisfied!

I was with TMobile for my two year contract and I must say they gave me a real run for my money. Where do I start: the fact that I broke my HD2 and bought a prepaid phone to use temporarily and still had to pay for internet, the fact that when you change your plan you extend your contract, or maybe the fact that you have to pay monthly to get a paper bill. To say the least I could go on and on and on. However, I wanted to say SPRINT IS THE BEST. My father had been with them for years and always highly recommended them. I have been with them for 3 months and so far no complaints. My bills are about $50 cheaper then tmobile plus everything is included and not to mntion the huge discount that I get from my employer. NO DROPPED CALLS...LET ME RE...

Speeding up my Samsung Moment

anyone know of any quick fixes or apps I can download and make my Moment run a bit faster. The Android OS seems a bit cumbersome and often at times whenever I try to call people on my phone using contacts, etc. it tends to freeze up. I do know that Android 2.2 is coming out, does anyone know how I can get it on my phone?

Swithcing to Sprint and I need prices!

After 8 years with ATT and working for one of their authorized dealers for the last 4, I'm leaving ATT for a new job and new phones. I spoke to a rep already who said that for 4 line unlimited everything would be about $179 with the EVO 4G, Intercept and two basic touch phones. I want to make sure that's the price, so could someone that works for Sprint verify it for me?

Thanks in advance

Asurion?

Why do I always get my way with asurion? I had the black intercept and sold it on ebay for 260, and then i called asurion and reported it stolen, and they approved it. But of course the one i sold does not have a bad esn either!! =) and then they sent me a black and gray one,(which was delivered today. so i called them back today and said they were sposed to send me a pink one, and said there was something wrong with the black one they sent me, so now they are sending me a BRAND NEW PINK INTERCEPT,and should be delivered tomorrow!! and I made 170 out of it!!

AND ive been doing this for yrs and it always works!!

But yet you still see IDIOTs selling refurbished phones from asurion when they can get brand new ones out of them. people are ...

Sprint Corporate Discount - Any Impacts on Upgrade Eligibility at all?

OK So I got an e-mail earlier today that my application for the American Airlines 25% Corporate Employee Discount was denied due to not accepting the commitment to renew for the 2 year Contract. I have done my research/reading and as a result, I am aware that there was a change in the policy that basically reads that this is now a requirement for a new subscriber to become eligible for obtaining the Corporate Discount. I am pretty sure that this must be the industry standard across all cellular carriers as well. And besides, all this does for me is push my Contract end date up 4-5 months from March 2012 to July 2012.

However, my argument here is not so much on the fact that I was misinformed about the Contract being required or not but...

Switching to Sprint soon...

I will finally be leaving T-Mobile soon, and leaning towards choosing Sprint over ATT as my new carrier.

Any reason not to go with Sprint?
My city currently does not have 4G, but the EVO looks great.

G4 Channel to Become 4G in a Week of Sprint Promotion
By BRIAN STELTER
Published: July 21, 2010

NEXT week the cable channel G4 will morph into 4G.

In a letter-swapping promotion for Sprint Nextel’s next-generation wireless Internet service, the name of the channel will change for seven days, affecting all its logos and shows. The campaign begins Monday.

“We think it has some unique abilities to break through the clutter in the marketplace and help Sprint promote its service,” Neal Tiles, the president of G4, said in a telephone interview.

He added, “How often do you get to change the name of the net...

Some questions for anyone who sells Sprint products.

As a commissioned Sprint sales rep, I receive a share of the profits made from what I sell for my company. This is obviously a typical practice. However, in order to get commission for my accessories (for example) I have to sell a minimum of $450. I typically sell about $1000/month in accessories (a high figure for my store) and I'm on track to sell about $1500+ this month. My goals for activations and new lines are 10 each, both which I have also met.

What are some of the sales figures and requirements for you and your store? Are you all required to meet a certain goal before getting commission, or do you get a slice of everything you sell? I work for a 3rd part preferred retailer, so my goals may be different from yours. I especially...

samsung intercept(moment 2)

Samsung Moment has gone as far up the Android ladder as it can go. There will be no Froyo for that device which basically means it is time for Sprint to find a new mid-range Android slider to add to its lineup. The Samsung Intercept (SPH-M910) will be that new model. In fact, when we first reported on the SPH-M910, we called it the Moment 2. Expected to launch on July 12th with Android 2.1 on board, a upgrade to 2.2 is a "high probability". With a 3.2 inch touchscreen, the Intercept won't make you forget the Epic 4G, but as a messaging device, it has exactly what you need. The handset features quick access to social networking sites like Facebook and Google's Voice Search will let you read out e-mails, texts and Facebook posts. Also featured...

What was Nextel like?

I recently downloaded the TiKl PTT (push-to-talk) app for my Hero and use it almost exclusively to talk to my wife. (Get it, it's free and doesn't use any minutes).

As fast as it is, I sometimes wonder if Nextel is/was even better. How many of you folks used to work for Nextel or used their phones before coming to Sprint? How many of you still use Nextel? And how has Nextel's merger with Sprint affected the company as far as call quality and customer service are concerned?

I'm asking these questions because I joined Sprint long after it had absorbed Nextel and know almost nothing about it.

Hero or Intercept

So I just got the Hero at radio shack for $50, and my boyfriend got the moment, i played with his moment for a bit, but didnt like it, however, i did want something with the keyboard, but that phone was just to bulky for me. I didnt like samsungs layout of the phone either. Id really prefer the epic because i love the layout and icons on it, looks like an iphone almost.

So since you have 30 days to take it back, Im wondering if the intercept will be better than the hero, and Id really like a pink phone, but i can deal with the hero because it seems pretty fast and doesn't lag much. but I can't deal with a slow phone, thats why i dumped the pixi.

so what do you think?
Should i stay with my hero or go for the pink intercept?

also w...
