Question about being a severanced employee and my rate plan

Recently, my rate plan was changed from the $30-Sero plan that I've had for the last three years with my Blackberry Curve to the $40 SERO premium. I can live with that since I'm pretty sure that I was supposed to be getting charged for my blackberry data pack and haven't been. However, the 25% discount was removed also. I can't find my severance packet provided for me when my store was shut down, so I don't remember if I'm supposed to keep that discount or not. Anyone out there know? I don't want to call CC and complain about something that I'm not supposed to be getting.

Thanks!

Joshua

time for an upgrade need opinions which is the better droid...

as the title states Iam in line for an upgrade finally and I need to know you guys opinions on which is the better android the evo or epic? and please explain why. I currently have the moment which is from samsung and love the slide out keyboard thats why I went with this phone instead of the hero. but the hero had better reviews and it took sprint/samsung forever to come out with the 2.0 update for the moment. so at this point I want to know what you guys think. ill try both phones out in the store before I buy but its not the same as having it :0

LG Optimus

Has anyone gotten the Optimus?

I have the Intercept and the lag on it is so annoying. Was considering getting this.

Somehow, even though I just got the Intercept Aug 20, 2010 on a 1 year contract since we are a business plan, my sprint account is still allowing me to upgrade for a year on that line and get the phone for 49.99.

Wow. 2nd Grade

Wow... I never thought that grown adults would act like a bunch of second graders. "no mine's better..." "no, mine is better!!!"
Good grief... Get over yourselves. So what if X-amount of consumers use Sprint, ATT, Verizon, T-mobile, etc... Whoops, obviously everybody on this forum cares. Hey I have Sprint as do alot of my friends and colleagues. At the same time I know a lot of friends and colleagues who use Verizon, ATT, T-Mobile, etc. but we don't sit around arguing who has better coverage and/or who pays less. I'm not going to gloat or even put down people who don't use Sprint and I would act the same if I used any other carriers. 🤣

Disgruntled ATT customer

Upgrade time has come and ATT has few options to choose from and all of them require an $18 upgrade fee and required additions of expensive data packages. Plus the choice of only 1 rugged phone that is obscenely expensive and lack of value for your money is making me look elsewhere. Verizon and Tmobile don't have service in my area, but Sprint does. The price plans look very good for Sprint, but I'm rather concerned that their upgrade policies and choices are just as poor as ATT. Does anybody have any info on what upgrading with Sprint is like?

The truth about WiMAX vs. LTE:

Slammer said:
Sprint has been preparing for this era for years. While many carriers were busy swiping up other smaller carriers for subscribers, Sprint was busy horting precious spectrum for the future. Spectrum large enough to push the limits of what Wimax and LTE are designed for. The other carriers now realize the direction of the future, but were only able to acquire limited bulk spectrum. Even though VZW acquired a substantial amount of spectrum for coverage, it is only enough to handle a small amount of duties. In short, the other carriers will offer alot of sizzle with LTE, but no steak. Backhaul and the amount of spectrum is crucial in obtaining the power for pushing the envelope in limitless possibilites. Sprint has mor

Stupid upgrade question

I'm not due for an upgrade but I simply must have the Epic. My son is due for an upgrade, can I get it for him and then switch it to my number (leaving him with either his old one or my old one)?

(Sorry, I know this is probably common knowledge for anyone who doesn't live under a rock.)

Thanks!

Why Sprint, Why?

So I give $130 of my hard earned money to Sprint each and every month. Why is it that Sprint can't hire competent people in their stores? Why do they try to pin phone problems on the customer?

So I went into the Sprint store because my Instinct stopped reading SD cards. They told me it was because my music was stored as .WAV files. My files aren't .wav files, they are WMA files. The tech claimed that no phones support WMA and it was user error.

The manual clearly states the following are supported:
 MIDI
 QCELP
 MP3
 AAC (m4a)
 AMR
 WMA (unprotected)

I understand that you don't manufacture the phones, but why couldn't you have listed to me? Why must I make multiple trips? Why such contempt for the customer?

Long Term plan for Indirect Channel?

What do you guys think the long term goal is for the indirect channel? By the actions that Sprint is and continues to take, it is obvious that Sprint wants customers to go to Best Buy, Radioshack Wal-Mart, rather than going to an Indirect Sprint retailer to purchase the phones.

Why do you think this is? As more and more people realize you can get the phone at Best Buy for much cheaper, then where does that leave the indirect channel in 5 years? 10 years?

I really do think that Sprint would prefer customers to buy a phone at Best Buy and then have that customer go to an indirect store to get their email set up, contacts transferred, Ready Now experience exc.

SERO Premium Plan

I am one of the many former Sprint employees who were lucky enough to get the $30 SERO plan (with a 25% discount) when I left the company in March 2008. I have since had the same handset and was excited to get the Samsung Epic 4G . I waited in a short line at 8 AM that morning to find out my SERO plan was not compatible with the new smart phones. The sales rep advised me that I would have to switch to one of the Everything data plan at $69. I walked away and had a talk with Sprint over the phone. I am happy to say that they are now offering a SERO premium plan (only to those with SERO plans) for $10 additional a month to upgrade to any smart phone ($10 4G applies). I am happy that Sprint is still taking care of its many former employees...

Attn. Sprint reps: Does Sprint sell the Jitterbug?

OK, so since a certain senior citizen I know would rather sit with someone while they DIE 🙄 until a stranger comes along with a cell phone, rather than leave them to go get help (yes, it's happened twice now!) I'm looking to add large-button, big screen, easy to read and use ULTRA BASIC phone to my Sprint family plan for him. Does it exist? And can I get it from telesales with a local number for him, or would I have to go "home" and buy it for him in order to get a local number? TIA!

Diane.
