Some questions for anyone who sells Sprint products.

As a commissioned Sprint sales rep, I receive a share of the profits made from what I sell for my company. This is obviously a typical practice. However, in order to get commission for my accessories (for example) I have to sell a minimum of $450. I typically sell about $1000/month in accessories (a high figure for my store) and I'm on track to sell about $1500+ this month. My goals for activations and new lines are 10 each, both which I have also met.

What are some of the sales figures and requirements for you and your store? Are you all required to meet a certain goal before getting commission, or do you get a slice of everything you sell? I work for a 3rd part preferred retailer, so my goals may be different from yours. I especially...

Until i saw the bottom of your comment, i was thinkin there is no way in hell you work for a corporate store with goals that low. I've never even had a goal close to that low and I'm in a slower store.

their is a *HUGE* difference between a "small retailer" and a corporate store and/or a Best Buy.

I don't know about Sprint, but I know that the job I just left was a Kiosk... the difference between it and the Verizon Store (or any place nearby and the Verizon store) was night and day.

Sales I made were "Oh look... a kiosk I didn't know existed. Maybe we can skip the long lines at the Verizon store." (My place had virtually no advertising lol).

The sales structure at my kiosk was minimum $65/hour (Double/triple commission at $95/115) for performance based commission. A portion of sales was non-perf based, and granted regardless of sales/hour (Insurance, accessories, etc. Got some of that regardless, but no 2/3x bonus).

I would lov...

Well, I work in a call center, so sales is more from plan changes and new lines than from selling phones... In fact, though we place orders and advertise phones, my department gets nothing at all for selling them. I advised customers to visit stores to avoid shipping fees for that reason. 🤤

For selling plans, it is based on a percentage. Plan changes and new lines give us 'value' (sometimes), while for each customer we talk to the goal will increase by a certain amount of 'value'. For instance, if each customer raises goal by 5 value, and a plan change is worth 50, we have to make one plan change per 10 customers to meet goal. Meeting sales goal is around $80.00 extra every 'sales check'. Higher bonuses are awarded for being above ...

I'm a former Sprint employee from a corporate retail store so I can give you first hand information on what you've requested.

Pay is determined based on hourly and commission. Commission is a set amount for certain things for example. An upgrade would be lets say $6 each. You get paid a fraction of features added to the account and so on. There are multipliers that can boost your commission such as customer satisfaction calls.
As far as a quota, usually it's between 10 and 40 activations. There are "goals" for things such as accessories and features but those aren't treated like quota. Hope this helps

Um you obviously werent in a corporate store then. Our main quotas that we are held to every month are new acts, box sales, accessory sales and csat. You get written up if you dont hit them too.

I make a share as well. I start off at making 10 percent of what I sell, and then some. For example a brand new act, 1 line with an evo I will make like $25+ in commision for that sales, it vaires by phone, accesories sold at the time of activation, as well as add-ons like TEP etc. etc. I also get like 30 cents a bill payment and like 10 dollars a upgrade. Now after we sell a certain amount in a fiscal quarter, I think its 10,000 I start making 15 percent. Then a 20 percent tier following. Sounds pretty good, but here is the catch. If the customer changes anything outside of the store or cancels, and I don't catch it. That original commision that was granted to me is "charged back" and is deducted from my next paycheck.
