1. Volume quantitatively for the user (i.e., moi!) has to be loud enough to be able to hear while driving on the highways at 60+ mph. Being able to hear it with the Windows down is a definite plus! Other criteria considered here is loud enough to use while traveling through noisy Airport Terminals. (Yes, DFW can be noisy).

I would go w the plantronics voyager PRO.

Its the only HS I have used thats been LOUD.. every other HS ive ever used (jawbone, motorola, bluant), Ive had to keep the volume ALL the way up.. the Plantronics, I keep down at least 2 or 3 notches most of the time.

Question from curiosity: Have you ever had or tried the Jabra BT 250v headset I mentioned about in my posting? If so, how does the Plantronics you described compare?

Try the Moto H17. It raises the call volume when in loud areas and has great noise reduction. Battery life is iffy but still a great headset.
