I know it is. Thats so stupid that people should have to wait to get this phone. They shouldn't even have released it if they didn't have enough to go around, they should have double of what they sold.

yes, i agree! they shoudn't have released the evo. it's a pain in the neck, customers keep calling us just to see if it's available here in telesales and it ruins our stats! 😡

Well, if HTC hadn't underestimated how many Evos was going to sell, we would have enough.

not entirely.

If Samsung had been able to produce the Evo and Incredible screens for HTC, then Verizon and Sprint wouldn't be in this boat. The problem with the lack of these two phones can be traced directly back to Samsung.

Makes one wonder if this didn't happen on purpose. I guarantee there will be enough Galaxy S phones to go around on all 4 carriers, and they use the same screens.

First off the EVO uses an LCD screen, not Samsung's AMOLED which is the one having the manufacturing issue. That does explain verizon's issue but not Sprints. Sprint/HTC's issue is just that they both underestimated how much demand there would be for the EVO. But how is it dumb to release the phone when they did?? They beat the Iphone 4 out to market which was key...sold idk somewhere around a half million EVO's since launch, and gained subcribers for the first time in years last quarter. Demand is just high..doesn't mean it was stupid to release the phone whhen they did!

Additionally, part of the reason for the EVO selling so well is that the Iphone 4 crashed and burned....

1 for the good guys!
