You people are idiots. Your confusing screen size with resolution. Would you rather have a 42" 1080p LCD tv or a 47 CRT ?

Your posts so entirely lack any semblence of grammatical correctness that I'm not even sure what your point it. If I am correct it sounds like you are not going to post anything other than negative things anymore and while you were at the gym you dropped your xbox on your phone and your nurse is healthy.

Thanks for refuting some of my opinions vs just flaming! I said the screen is stunning - what I think the software fails to do is make use of its potential. I agree there are a lot of cool options for customization but here is a perfect example of how dumb it is. If you take picture on the phone, then you try to use that picture, it actually forces you to crop the picture and the results ...

The longest review you'll ever read - if you read it. - Part 2/2
Nov 13, 2009, 10:53 PM
in the Motorola Droid forum

Droid does multitask. In a completely moronic way. Every program you open, yes every single one, stays open. It's no wonder that there are like 20 different apps in the android market whose sole purpose is to kill apps which are running. You know why you have to kill them? Because the phone SLOOOWS down when you have too many going at once. It's very annoying. Then get this, apparently you can ...

Please note - the opinions expressed within are not necessarily those of the staff, family, friends, neighbors, pets, or other sentient beings connected in any way to Phonescoop. Also be advised - this is a long read. Okay, so I too fell under the magic special of the various commercials and hype surrounding this phone. I want to be cool just like everyone else! Sure I had the iPhone 3GS at the time and I looked really cool ...

Yes take it back and they will delete the contract. I'm taking mine back as well I just haven't decided what I am going to switch to. The Droid was a whole lot of hype without much to substantiate it.

Re: Call Quality?
Nov 10, 2009, 4:51 PM
in the Motorola Droid forum

As far as call quality goes on the Droid I give it a Thumbs up. I've had the iPhone, Tour, Storm, and Curve within the past year and this is as good as any of them on the call quality front.

Re: Syncing with computer

Just setup a gmail account (you don't have to use their email) and iCal and Mac Address book can both be setup to sync automatically with gmail over the air. Then setup the account in droid (again you don't have to use the email) and your contacts and calendar will always stay in sync with your Mac. If you use outlook, I don't know how to handle the contacts but you can download google sync for the ...

Re: Widgets
Nov 10, 2009, 4:29 PM

Yup - you don't have enough room on the screen for the widget. Bear in in mind that different widgets take up different amounts of space. Try to add it to a blank homescreen and then you will see how big it actually is and how much room for other stuff you have...

I just use gmail and the phone syncs to it and the Mac syncs to it automatically (once setup of course)

Weird - I too have a Mac and a Windows 7 machine and it didn't try to install anything on either. Once I mounted the card on the phone it simply popped up on both machines as a USB mass storage device.

Go swap out the phone, that's the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Mine hasn't cycled once, searching for signal would never, ever, make the phone power cycle. I can't believe some idiot told you that - shameful...

Slacker is sweet, not a ton different but sweet nonetheless. The nice thing about Slacker is when you search for a song you can pick that actual song, not simply play "like sounding" music with the hopes that the song you want to hear will enter the rotation... Caller picture id okay, not a whole lot bigger than postage stamp though. The pic will appear in the middle of the screen when the phone rings - it isn't ...

Pictures should be easy - there is a DCIM folder on the card, just go into that and you will find the right folder for pictures...I'm not sure on the videos though, I'm sure it's just a matter of creating another folder with the appropriate naming convention...Try google-ing it. .

Re: POP Email???
Nov 6, 2009, 6:44 PM
in the Motorola Droid forum

No it's not. This is not a phone issue its a Roadrunner issue. Blackberries work because they have their own smtp servers but in order to use the Roadrunner outgoing (smtp) server you have to be connected to Roadrunners internet service. In theory I suppose it would work if you have roadrunner at home and you connect your phone to your home network via wifi - but this is the only way. Roadrunner does not allow access to its ...

Yes to all of the above except I'm not 100% sure on the picture one. You can create folders and my guess is you can browse and organize but I haven't played with it enough yet to see. Ringer is quite loud Pandora is good to go and slacker as well You can set any tones you want for ringers, alarms, txts, contacts, etc - just a matter of copying them from the pc to the card (via usb)

Apps are not and can not be stored on the SD card. There are a boatload of apps, so far everything that I cared about from my iPhone I have been able to find in Android Marketplace. I don't think it will sync with iTunes though you can copy plain old mp3s over no problem..

The problem is that it's a catch 22, without these exclusive agreements a lot of these devices would not get developed in the first place. I think sometimes people forget about the capital in capitalism.

Re: Not an iPhone? Thank goodness!

I love it "AT&T is wetting themselves." How many times have we heard this? It reminds me of the new Mac commercial that's on TV. The Storm was going to kill the iPhone, the Samsung Instinct was going to kill the iPhone, the Pre was going to kill the iPhone, etc etc.... People have such short memories and are so bitter at the iPhone - a decent device with a far superior user experience. You can talk camera ...

If you want to own something different just for the sake of owning something different and being unique - why don't you go back to a bag phone? Maybe you will start your own trend? Think how well it will work when you are in an analog only area?? Think how spiffy and cool people will think you are!!

Re: Stop Comparing it; Its No iPhone
Nov 2, 2009, 11:42 AM

"Blackberry is dominating the list" may be the most ignorant statement ever made. Blackberry has many devices over pretty much all carriers whereas the iPhone is 1 device with 1 carrier. Compare apples to apples and nothing RIM makes even comes close.

I did that for awhile too, then I finally signed up for one (without porting my number over) and tried it out for a couple weeks. Turns out that where I live (Raleigh NC) - the coverage was virtually indistinguishable. So I ported my # and have been a happy iPhone user since....

Haha all you numbnuts are hilarious. Who ever heard of anyone "talking network ****." It's absolutely idiotic. Network usage and availability vary from yard to yard - a carrier that might work great for you might not for someone else and vice-versa. Try using your Verizon 8310 in Japan? Try using your iPhone in the mountains of Kentucky? Each carrier has their pluses and minuses, make the decision for yourself based on your ...

Nov 2, 2009, 10:46 AM

Talk about silly..... There are just as many iPhone haters as there are iPhone fanboys. To point out the previous lack of MMS (or lack of a keyboard) is just plain idiotic. If you bought one not being able to read and not knowing that it was lacking this feature - luckily you would have had 30 days to return it. If you bought the iPhone thinking it had a secret hidden keyboard because you really needed ...

That's quite possibly the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. Roughly 25% of all iPhone users are ex-Verizon customers.... "They could care less" You must have been absent the day they taught economics in school. Simply amazing... If they don't care - how come every new phone is touted as the "iPhone killer"? I am often amazed, nay, astounded at how dumb people are. I guess I shouldn't be at this point....

I call stupidity on this entire thread. Why start a thread simply complaining about something you don't own and clearly never will? Maybe I missed something here? You know what I hate? Those stupid little smart cars...You know the ones, they weigh like 38 lbs and they fit 1.5 humans with no bags and get roughly 397 miles per gallon. Yes those annoying stupid little cars...They suck...I don't know why anyone would ever own one - ...
