questions...

As I've only owned "dumb" phones in the past (currently have env3), I already know I'm going to be blown away by this phone. Some questions:

- does it support individual alert sounds for text messages (no sarcasm needed, we're looking at you smittycool...)

- is pandora.com supported?

- how loud is the ringer? how strong is the vibrate?

- does it support a folder structure for storing media? meaning, can I create separate directories for different types of pics, as opposed to having all 600+ in one big folder...

I appreciate anybody who can help answer the above.

Yes to all of the above except I'm not 100% sure on the picture one. You can create folders and my guess is you can browse and organize but I haven't played with it enough yet to see.

Ringer is quite loud

Pandora is good to go and slacker as well

You can set any tones you want for ringers, alarms, txts, contacts, etc - just a matter of copying them from the pc to the card (via usb)

Thank you Robkhb and smittycal, I appreciate it, and will definitely be getting this phone soon.

- I hadn't even heard of Slacker, but now I know. How does it compare with Pandora? I'm glad this phone does both!

- How big is the picture caller ID? I'm hoping bigger than a postage stamp, with this huge screen...

Slacker is sweet, not a ton different but sweet nonetheless. The nice thing about Slacker is when you search for a song you can pick that actual song, not simply play "like sounding" music with the hopes that the song you want to hear will enter the rotation...

Caller picture id okay, not a whole lot bigger than postage stamp though. The pic will appear in the middle of the screen when the phone rings - it isn't huge nor tiny. Hope this helps?
