I received my A840 yesterday and the build quality is much sturdier feeling than my V710. The screen bumpers are higher and the screen is actually recessed about .02 deeper than my v710 was. It comes with a sim card that activates when you activate the phone. Yes and VZWs music on Demand launches in Late may and the info manager says that the 8100 and the E815 will support this. So I think middle to late may.

You cannot use the internal gps as this is only for 911 use. But I use the Gamrin GPS10, It comes with a bluetooth receiver and all software and it works great. go to www.garmin.com to check it out.

As fast as cell phone builders have to pumpe out phones no days I am not surprised that many phones come with bugs. XP pro is over how many years old now and they still are releasing updates everyday to fix bugs.

I bought it from ebay. The store was importgsm.com. They are 499 on ebay and I bought mine for $404 from him on ebay. It is unlocked but still has the cingular brand on it. I was suprised to see the 1.70 on mine. Maybe they already have a update to the 1.30

Give me a chance would you. I do have a life other than a computer. The camera tilt is fixed and as many of us have noticed the photos are brighter than they used to be. I took a photo in my kitchen with the old phone and then took the same photo with the new phone and the new ones photo is much brighter. Not sure why as the software is the same version.

Here is a follow up. My v710 came today and yes the camera is fixed :D but no the software on these phones has not been changed. It is still the same 8700_01.30.8f :roll:

The lady told me that they now had them in stock and she could send me one and I would have it by friday. I called VZW today and talk to someone in tech support and asked when the new phones were coming to the stores because I have been calling the stores since friday and all they say is that they do not know when they are coming. The tech guy told me that it showed on his computer that they were due to be in the stores this week and that they will be delivered with the new software update installed.

Just recieved my hbh-660 headset today and so far I am impressed. I made 2 calls to my wifes voice mail. First using the hbh-660 and second using the m2500. The hbh 660 sounded like a land line quality call where the m2500 had more distortion. Next test will be in the car tomorrow to see how it does with background noise. Caller id in the headset is very cool also. :D

Help with Vox headset
Hey a friend of mine just bought the vox9900 and he does not have a login for howardforums so I am asking this for him. He said that when he uses his headset that he has to leave the phone open or it will hang up on him when he closes it. He wants to know if there is a way to close it while talking on the headset.:confused:
