Anyone else having these issues?
Jul 24, 2011, 8:22 AM
in the Motorola Triumph forum

I picked up this device on Friday, July 22 I have noticed the following: GPS is inaccurate WiFi drops signal, even when you set the sleep policy to never. I ended up downloading WiFi Fixer to remedy that Screen sometimes takes more than one tap to register a selection. It also lags a bit These issues are more on Motorola than Virgin Mobile. I though Moto made better handsets. :(

I currently have an HTC EVO with text and data only. Any chance I could upgrade to a Galaxy Tab without getting an ETF?

I have the unlocked Pre 2 from HP. I haven't seen anything that states it can be a mobile hotspot. Please clarify.

in the Palm Pre 2 (CDMA) forum

Battery life is horrible, fully charged at 10pm, down to 70% at 6am the following morning, all in standby mode. Despite being a little zippier, the form factor and OS have not changed enough for me to keep the Pre 2, so I am sending it back to HP. :(

Just got the unlocked GSM Pre 2. So far what I have noticed over Pre and Pre Plus Boot time cut in half (woo hoo!) Programs load faster, all around, much snappier Battery life is pretty much the same as my old Sprint Pre The shipped back cover is Touchstone ready! Camera is still one of the best

BB Torch Apps

I noticed that the WHERE app only had a limited free trial on the BB Torch, while on other OS platforms like Android and WebOS, this app is free. Is this a BB thing or at&t?

Before I return the Captivate, please help
Sep 5, 2010, 8:30 AM
in the Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S) forum

First off, the screen on this device is OUTSTANDING. I haven't seen anything quite like it. Also, the phone is thin and light, and battery will last two days at least even with moderate use. Now, my issues are these... WTF did Samsung do to Android??? The only thing I can think of to describe it is neutering. Most of what I consider stock widgets, like analog clock, are absent. Even after replacing the Touch ...

So the question is...do I return mine to the at&t store and buy another through Amazon and save approx. 136.00?? Maybe at&t will drop the price

First of all, I want to know if the phone has a status light indicator for notifications. Yes Also, can u still assign two different ringtones to each contact.... One for their texts and one for their calls?? I think so. I have not tried, but if you could with other Berries, you should be able to do so with this one as well. Does AT&T offer insurance for this phone?? Yes

Maybe I had a bad apple. This doesn't take away that the camera on my device did not work, and that the UI was laggy. I am very happy for all of those that received a properly working device. As for me, I am running my old Moto Droid.

Returning mine tomorrow
Jul 15, 2010, 9:18 PM
in the Motorola Droid X forum

Nice try, but this device is too laggy for a 1Ghz processor, the EVO is much more fluid. Also, the camera didn't work at all, and seeing I bought the last one in stock, I cannot exchange. And this ninja blur sucks, I couldn't wait to download Launcher Pro to replace it. Got suckered again by a great spec but poor performing device, when will I learn? :(

in the Article: Sprint HTC Evo 4G Updated With Slight Improvements forum

How long have you had the EVO? I noticed after a week or so, the battery was alot better. I do not run any task managers/killers. I have the Sense UI with news, friends feed, stocks, and weather refreshing quite frequently.

The battery life WILL get better with time
Jun 24, 2010, 7:05 AM
in the HTC EVO 4G forum

As with most, if not all batteries, it needs a break in period, so if you have had the EVO for less than a week, you may think the battery is weak. Give the battery and phone time to acclimate to each other and your usage habits. My battery lasts over a day with moderate usage. I also do not use any task killers.

in the HTC EVO 4G forum

I had the Droid on VZW, tried out the 3GS iPhone, and then went to the EVO. After completing that circle one more time in a week, I stopped at the EVO. Faster than the 3GS, better screen dimensions than the DROID (I am not big on the 16:9 aspect ratio the Droid seems to have). I believe we will both be happy in the long run. :D

I pulled the one from Sprint's website that had different dates and emailed it to my sales person. She said either rebate form would work. Well, I am using the one with the July deadline!

EVO rebate deadline - be aware
Jun 9, 2010, 11:56 AM
in the Sprint forum

My sales rep at the Sprint store made sure to highlight the postmark deadline of June 19th. Not sure if that has anything to do with the iPhone 4 launch on June 24th, but it is less than 30 days from purchase, so I guess Sprint is asking us to make up our minds in less than 30 days. Tricky Sprint, very tricky.

Samsung Moment question
May 26, 2010, 11:43 AM

I am considering coming back to Sprint and getting the Moment. I am not too keen on the HTC sense overlay of Android, nor the extra $10 fee. Anyways, is the Samsung Moment stock android, or is there an overlay to it, like a Samsung version of Sense or MotoBlur?

Does at&t offer this plan?
May 21, 2010, 12:10 PM

I tried navagating through the at&t wireless website and cannot find any information. I am looking for a unlimited text and data plan with no minutes. I use my device for internet and texting, and don't wish to pay 40.00/month for minutes I'll never use. This would be for a smartphone.

App drawer animation seemed glitchy when using the live wallpapers, so I do not use them. The new weather and news widget is nice, but you can get similar through the app store. I have gotten use to double tap for zooming, so pinch to zoom is rarely used. I haven't figured out this text to speech thing everyone is talking about, what apps use it??
