There is no update right now and jsut because other countries have it doesn't mean we have to have it.Same thing with gaming japan always gets first we get sloppy seconds just the way of the world.Only a select few got it here in usa but give it some time it should be here soon.

read online there was a last minute bug and it will be coming out upwards of a month, furthermore id like to add that this is more BS with this phone, i wont even get into numbers but this is like dissapointment #83.

what feature are you waiting for with 2.1. Chances are you can get those features on your phone NOW since they are the same OS.
The issue was with the Bootloader (they think) meaning they were trying to change it, possibly making it harder to root. I'm hoping they don't get the bug fixed and they release it without the modified boot loader.
And we've already shown how most of that list are invalid complaints.

Hockeydog, you are absolutely correct! The song you are referencing, Money for Nothing, is indeed a classic! Dire Straits is one of my favorite bands of all time. Did you know it was actually Sting who sang the "I want my MTV..." part of that song? He co-wrote the song. I apologize if you did know that, don't mean to insult your musical intelligence.
As for the 2.1 update, I am also feeling disappointed. We have been waiting patiently since Feb 8th. Hopefully it will be worth it when it finally comes out. I wonder if the delay has something to do with Verizon?

2.1 is largely cosmetic, the only real "fix" it provides is syncing with Yahoo mail.
2.01 and 2.1 are based off of the same Kernal (aka, the same OS). What 2.1 will add is pinch zoom in the native browser and gallery, a new gallery (that you can get if you google it.. does not require root to install), and live wallpapers.

The cosmetic stuff will be nice but the big thing I am looking forward to is Flash and the pinch zoom.

Pinch zoom will be in the patch (in the default browser and gallery). For pinch zoom in 2.01, get the xscope or dolphin browsers. I used xscope myself for when I wanted pinch zoom.
They still don't have true multi-touch on the keyboard. I downloaded Smart Keyboard Pron for that. It's actually a pretty slick app, and only like 5 bucks or so
