Re: Am I doing my math right.
I don't care why they are loosing customers. I don't care if I am the only customer as long as it's more cost effective, and I get the converage I need in the places I go.
Re: Am I doing my math right.
Do you know what the discount would be?
Re: ITS OPEN ENROLLMENT
The phone would be covered however Assurion will not replace the phone is there is not usage on that phone. Sooooo if the phone is broken don't buy it assuming you can just do a claim on it.
Re: My thoughts on sprint
All those big words and dosn't even once elude to what exactly Sprint is doing to make them such a horrible company. If you wish to enlighten us at least let us know whats going on.
Re: For that price...
It acctually looks like the phones may be a little more upfront to go with Sprint rather than ATT, but that cost would quickly be offset by the $100 less per month I would be paying.
Re: Am I doing my math right.
Albuquerque, NM
Sprint is offering
1500 minutes with unlimited calling to all cell phones with unlimited data and text on 3 blackberries for 149.98.
They said that working at Home Depot would qualify me for 25% off of that leaving it at $112.50 per month.
Re: Am I doing my math right.
Man that's nuts that is quite a bit more expensive than other major cell phone companys that provide service in my area.
Am I doing my math right.
Lets say I wanted 3 blackberries on a family plan.
1400 min family plan
1) $89.99
2) $0
3) $9.99
Add data and unlimited text per line
1) $50
2) $50
3) $50
For total of $249.98 per month
Is there a better way to configure this plan to reduce the cost?
Wimax 2 120 Mbit/s downlink and 60 Mbit/s
Boy Genius Report is reporting that
IEEE is expected to approve the 802.16m mobile WiMAX standard, also known as WiMAX 2, this summer. Under laboratory conditions, WiMAX 2 can deliver a blazing 120Mbit/s down and 60Mbit/s up when using 4×2 MIMO antennas on a 20MHz-wide channel. In practical terms, WiMAX 2 will approximately double the speed of the current WiMAX technology. In an interview with Unstrung, Clearwire’s CTO John Saw said that Clearwire is going to review the new ...
Re: Simple rules to be happy with any service provider
The way I look at it is if the discount they provide me on the equipment is more than $200 than I come out ahead. Lets say they offer me a $300 full price phone free. Even if I cancel the second month and pay the $200 I have paid less, if the contract prorates and I cancel one year in and pay a $100 early termination fee than I have really paid less.
Re: What current phone on Sprint's Network is the best for...
I recommend the Samsung Moment
1) Physical keyboard for ease of texting.
2) Full email support
3) Many apps available.
4) Sprint 3g data for web access.
Simple rules to be happy with any service provider
1) Use the trial period to insure you get coverage where you need it.
2) Find a phone that does what you NEED it to do.
3) Pick a plan that fits your needs.
4) Review your bill monthly and pay it on time.
5) Treat your phone like the expensive electronic equipment it is.
6) Expect to only get a discount on a new phone within the guidelines set forth by your provider.

Re: Sprint's presence at CES is Dissapointing!
I personally will take a slightly older device that runs well than the wizz bang top of the line delux 3000 with slow data and 30% dropped call rates but that is just me. If your constantly chasing the latest and greatest you will never be satisfied, there will always be sompthing newer than what you have. Find a phone that does what you need it to do, make sure you get the coverage you need (carrier will change ...

Any wifi phone in conjunction with overdrive.
Re: Sprint's presence at CES is Dissapointing!
Have fun debating who has the larger 3g network while we enjoy our 4g. I know you're going to say LTE is going to be faster, have fun waiting for it.
Re: WiMax/CDMA
That’s what I am hoping to see. Sprint just a background player providing high speed unlimited data, the consumer pays one flat rate and picks their devices etc. As far as I'm concerned it would be nice just to avoid the cell phone game all together. Customer picks their own device bought thru the manufacturer Sprint provide unlimited data for one flat rate and customer picks their VoIP provider.
Re: SPRINT PAY ATTENTION
Sero = 30
450 Data = 70$
discount -20$
----------------
50$
50/30= 1.666
1.666 = 1.6 x the cost or 66% increase
You have choices, dosn't mean you have to like them but you do have choice, it sounds like you know what those choices are, pick one.

Re: I Miss the Old School Sanyo's
I do miss my old mm7400, half phone half brick oh the days of not worrying if I dropped my phone.
Re: Here is what Manoj should do.
Don't get me wrong I have played with the phone and it is a nice phone, I just don't know that I can justify the cost of ownership difference compared to other devices. I can literally take a Hawaiian vacation for the cost difference in this device and say an Android device over a two year contract.
Re: Here is what Manoj should do.
I'm just amazed at how good apple is at brainwashing people. They have people convinced to pay 2-3 times the going rate for service and get 20-30 times the dropped call percentage. I wish I was that good.
Iphone drops 30% of calls!
Gizmodo says
"How utterly BAD is the iPhone on AT&T in the New York area? The average iPhone drops 30 percent of all calls. And that's considered acceptable by Apple. (Acceptable) yes because there's an app for that
Giz reader Manoj took his iPhone to the Genius Bar to have it looked at because it was dropping calls left and right, and AT&T swore stuff was totally kosher on their end, so he thought something was wrong with his ...

Re: Employee discount with Sprint
On any of the everything data plans the data and sms services are unlimited. With addition of anymobile anytime your minutes (450, 900, and unlimited) are only used durint daytime hours monday thru friday when speaking to landlines. If you are going to mostly use GV that would only be using data not your voice mins so... I would recomend 450 data at $69.99 (your employee discount would come off this) You would only use minutes for landlines during ...
Re: I get no signal where i moved to and still $200.00/ line to cancel..
Airave equipment runs 100$
The basic monthly cost is 4.99 per month.
For $10 per month one phone will have the ability to make unlimited calls thru the device without using anytime minutes.
For $20 per month 5 lines would have this ability.
Re: is this possible
Also with the introduction of anymobile anytime, your able to speak to any cell phone in the U.S without using your anytime minutes so you might be able to go as low as 69.99 for 450 anytime w/ unlimited data and text included.
