i would not reccomend

Dec 14, 2008 by atreser

i bought this phone about a year ago now and ive had to have it replaced over 4 times because of problems with the phone. not one time was it a problem i caused or could of prevented just problems with the phone. one problem is my keys would stick and as of right now my end key does not work. its not a very sturdy phone if you a heavy txter i deff would not get this phone. because after a while of sliding the screen starts to get garbbeled. Also ive been having many problems with serivice and i knwo its this phone because My mom has the katana and has no problems. but what happens is i have full service and i live in a valley which if you dont know its very hard to get service there but sprint does get serivice but this phone should be getting full service and ill be roaming or it'll show i have full service and it wont send at all i dont get phone calls and sometimes not even voice mails. to wrap it up dont get this phone its not worth it its a waste of money and it will be a waste of your time running back and fourth to stores. so save your self the time and money dont get it.

Letdown

Dec 7, 2008 by achicagolover

I had such high hopes for this phone. It looked cute, worked out while testing it in the store, had a good price... SUCH a letdown. I text a whole lot more than call, so I figured this would work out great. Wrong.

Pros:
-When slid open, catches eyes
-Bluetooth

Cons:
-Scratches easily
-Doesn't have a large text memory (annoying alert when 80% (80/100 texts) full
-Cannot keep up with my texting speed
-Keyboard sucks. Can't press too hard, can't press too light or letters just don't show up
-If pressing backspace, it sometimes erases the whole message
-When I go to text and I press the letters, it just won't show up and I have to restart the phone
-New thing it likes to do- just shut off for no reason (I have to take the battery off and put it back on for it to turn on again)
-Maybe I just don't know what I'm doing, but I can only receive mp3s from other phones, I can't bluetooth them to other people

I'm just so upset. I wish I had my Krazr back... boo!

Rumors Worst phone ever

Dec 2, 2008 by Mindilou00

This is the worst phone I have ever owned. I don't know if its just the carrier or the phone but its horrible. I have had three new speakers put in w/in 3 months of owning it. Needing a forth now. I get delays in text messages, pictures, and the back button will often delete your whole novel instead of one letter. AS for the speaker. It just does dead and you have to use the speaker phone in order to use the phone. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, personally.

its pretty good

Solid 4/5

Nov 22, 2008 by crayolaguru

I had to get a new phone because the replacement for my Katana was a Motorola v3m, which the battery wouldn't even make it a day without needing a charge. Now that I got this phone (and I have owned it for almost 9 months) I can go days without charging. DAYS. Also, I text heavily, and this keyboard has stood up to hotwings and pizza sauce and come up on top. Phone still lasts 3-4 days on a full charge with probably 2-3 hours of talking a day, mixed with a few hundred texts every week or so, IMHO that's pretty good. It's taken a few falls as well, and still works great. Very reliable.

PROS
Keyboard woot!
E-mail app
Solid build
Battery life is EXCELLENT
Great call quality, never had a dropped call
Sliding open the keyboard opens the messaging app, great touch

TOSS
Kinda chunky in the pocket compared to most all flip phones, you'll always know if you leave it behind...

CONS
Everyone and their sister has one
No EVDO, sloow internet
Predictive text sucks, all it does is give you whatever word you last put after the word you just typed you're typing (pain for words like if, the, of, etc etc)
The battery seems to really drain with any internet usage, more than other phones... it's not really built for that though
Media player seems like an afterthought

Final thoughts...I do tech support. I'm not twelve. I know how to use my phone, and I certainly know a decent phone when I've been carrying it for as long as I have. I give it 4 because of the slow data and the media player, however it is still solid for an entry level phone; and for a messaging one at that, this is one of the best on the market for the price.

LG Rumor screen flickering

Nov 16, 2008 by Timaaaaaaa123214

I like this phone...at first it was good..and I was told to update the Firmware on it because it had the old firmware which caused it to make the screen go all white..so I was told to update my firmware..I updated it, and now my screen flickers all the time when i'm using it for anything.

If anyone knows what to do, please e-mail me on Timaaaaaaa123214@gmail.com

I don't want to take it to a Sprint Store to get it fixed..or replaced..

I only had this phone for like 2 months...

and I hate driving for like an hour just to get to a store to get my phone fixed..

but if you know how to fix it, please e-mail me on Timaaaaaaa123214@gmail.com

I bought this phone right when they came out (Almost a year ago) And i really like it. It doesn't hold as many pics as my last phone but who needs to save hundreds of pics in a phone anyway? I really like, and i am going to upgrade to the blue one soon. A good choice!

fun for awhile....

i got the phone during july and was very surprised and pleased w the quality of the phone....but that didnt last very long...the phone would freeze up alot, and sumtimes would shut off...and just recently, the phone would sit on my charger over nite and would say the battery was fully charged in the morning and when i took it off the charger, it would immediately drop to two bars of battery. i took it to my carriers office and they said it was the 4th phone they got back for the same reason(i live in a town of 1000 ppl)the buttons are wearing out on the front of the phone but the full keyboard is working fine and im very pleased with everything else about the phone except the battery life and charging port/connection...
