How does it feel? is it playable? do you make a lot of mistakes? or can you map the input keys to the slide out keyboard as well? Thanks for any input I recieve.

Outlook Contacts

I am using Goodlink for my company Outlook email an dI am wondering if it is possible to create a personal and business contact list that I can access from the phone when making calls. Under conacts I have a drop down where I can choose; All Contacts, Personal, or Company History.

For some reason all of my contacts syched wirelessly to Personal Contacts and there are my co-worker names and contacts duplicated in company history. Is there a way to drag and drop to organize the folders properly?

Bluetooth Volume

I also am having problems with the volume on my Bluetooth. I purchased a Motorola HS850 which for $60 I thought the quality would be good. The volume is very low and the HS850 picks up too much background noise where people can't hear me at all unless I'm in my house with no noise/TV.etc. The line of sight does not even tolerate my elbow or hand being in front of the phone.

Has anyone found a good bluetooth with good volume that works with the PPC6700? I don't even want to use my HS850. I don't want to spend $120 on a headset either (unless that's what it takes).

Disable evdo?

Hi everyone I was wondering if there is a way to turn off evdo? I have the xv6700 and must live right on the edge of service cause I lose about 10% of battery life every 2 hours or so. Anybody know of a simple way? I also have a registry editor. Thanks.

Is the battery life for real?

They advertised 4 hours of talk time, 8 days standby. But today was my first full day of use (I just got it yesterday), and the battery died at 8pm.

If the phone can't last at least one whole day w/o having to re-charge, I may just have to return this.

My friend said his Treo lasts a good 3 days before having to re-charge... and my friend with a blackberry said he has no problem going a whole weekend w/o having to re-charge.

There HAS to be something I'm doing to cause the battery to die so quickly. For one, I reduced my e-mail sync down to once an hour (previously set to the defualt every 15 minutes).

Does anyone else know what may be causing my battery life to be soo poor?

External Antenna

Anyone use the external antenna adapter on the back of the phone? If so, where did you get the antenna? How do you like it? I'm thinking about one for road trips where towers are lean.

Problems with phone, need advice/help on XV-6700

I like my new phone/PDA, it is cool, but there are problems, please help if you know what I can do:

Problem #1: If I use the phone and then turn off the PDA and then turn it on again to use it later it always goes to media player and asks if I would like to search my 1gb miniSD card for media files. I always click no and then exit media player.. this is getting annoying, it happens everytime!

Problem#2: Activesync keeps syncing! I put it in the cradle and then every 3 minutes it keeps syncing!

Problem#3: Volume! I have a jabra blue tooth headset, its great, but the volume could be better and more stable, any opinions?

For $300.00 (this is the price I paid), kind of not worth it!

Thanks

Mo!

Discontinued by Sprint??

I went to a local Sprint store last night to buy the phone and they said it's been discontinued. The only way I can get it is by finding a store that still has some in stock or by calling the 1-800 number.

Has anyone else heard about this? The Sprint employee said they had pulled it from the market because it had too many problems?

Weird to me since they still stock the 6600 and since so many who've bought it seem to like it.

Bottom line i730 or xv6700?

I think both are decent but I can't decide. Does anyone have experience with both or has anyone switched to the xv-6700 from the Samsung i730? Any info would be appriciated!

wm5 = what pocket pc 2000 2002? looking for best apps

I'm sure all of you guys are familiar with this lingo, but I'm trying to get the stuff that'll work on my phone, and I'm unclear what I'm looking for.

I know mobile 5 is supposed to be newer but i'm seeing a lot of stuff labeled ppc 2000 or ppc 2002. If you guys can shed a little light, and maybe make some recommendations on favorite programs and site resources to get the program?

As usual, any and all help would be appreciated.
p.s. any one see an aluminum case for this yet?

Experienced users... please help!

Hi, y'all... I posted in another forum because I, too, was trying to decide between the Samsung SCHi730 and the Treo. A nice guy turned me on to this one, and after checking them out side by side, I decided to go with the 6700, but now I'm having issues. I've got 15 days to return it, but I would prefer not to return it if the issues I'm having are due to, let's say, my own ineptitude. lol

This is my first "smartphone", so I might just be unused to how this works, but here's my other post. I'd appreciate any and all feedback from those experienced users out there!

Thanks,

m
