HTC 8125 / 8100 / MDA (USA) / K-JAM / P4300 (Wizard)

Does anyone know if there is a version of VNC available for the MDA. Like the free version available for the PC?

I was considering a Treo 650 but now that I have discovered the MDA I think it's a better device for me.

I am still trying to deal with the $350 price tag. I have a contract with TMO that will not make a upgrade available to me until next year, GRRRR. I want this phone, but my wallet is saying NO.

Does anyone use this? I dont know much about it but I want to set up my gmail account if possible. I think the site is down cause I cant seem to find it online to register my account. Anyone else having troubles?

I spoke to the people at HTC and apparently there is a newer version of the OS or at least that is what they said. The issue is it is not working at this point and is causing crashes, my question is; has anyone heard anything new other than it should be fixed in a month?

I meant to ask this in my last post... Is there a way to get Yahoo! Messenger on this thing? I don't really use AIM and only a few of my contacts are on MSN Messenger. Anyone know?

just installed google's maps for phones thinking it would work with the school's Wifi (not currently on a data plan with Cingular) and keeps locking up.. i think that it may have something to do with the networks authentication setup. can anyone point me in the right direction to remove from the MIDlet manager?

So I've had my 8125 for about 2.5 days and I absolutely love it. My only issue is this:

When I got the phone and went through the initial set-up, i set my time and date. The next day when I woke up it told me it was 11:11am... I'm on PST - it was showing me EST...It was really only 8:11am. So i reset the time. When I got home this evening at about 11pm (i work ALOT) it was showing the correct time. When I sat down at my computer it had jumped ahead 3 hours again. I'm not sure if I set my time zone incorrectly the first time - I think it might have come as EST and I was just changing the time and the phone was just resetting it to the correct time zone and time... Or if there is something genuinely wrong with the phone... It seems t...

How can I download AIM to the 8125? I can not find it or find out how to do it?

I'm looking at purchasing either a Bluetooth or infrared full-sized keyboard to use with my MDA for college. Has anyone used either? I'm wondering which will use less batteries and be more effective. Any suggestions?

So just a curriosity thing here. I have the navigational software on my phone with the bluetooth gps, and i have an indash screen in my car, is there a way to send whats on the screen on my phone to an rca jack

since the phone has windows mobile, is it possible to get viruses or spyware? has anyone gotten viruses on their MDA? 😳

I have the Cingular 8125 but the computer I want to sync to only has Windows XP SP1 and it cant get the SP2 because its not a legit copy. So is there any other version of Active Sync that will work with the WM 5.0? I really need to get this figured out, I cant seem to find any other versions for download except for 3.8.

I'm not one to post a comment with out reading the manual and what not but I redid my whole contact list (That was a pain in the ass) on my phone and I wanna save them to my outlook but it will not work... Can anyone help me out?

Anyone know if the version of Active Sync that is shipped with the MDA supports being used on a Windows 98 machine?

I know that the last version of Active Sync to support 98 was Active Sync 3.7 and the latest version to be released is 4.2.

I'm thinking you *should* be able to since it is Pocket PC OS. I can record on my Dell Axim pda through the Notes program. But the Axim is not a phone and I need to record conversations to transcribe later. Radio Shack has some gizmos that record from a cell phone but I'm looking for a good excuse to buy this phone. Anyone try this? Thanks.

Hey is there a way to put your contacts in order of first name and not by last in the contacts

I have had this phone for two months and love it, but the other day the sound stopped working. This only happens in the Windows Media player when trying to listen to a song or watch a video clip. My ringers and other sounds still work, so what could be the problem? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey guys im looking for the Tmobile mda for around 300 - Tmobile pisses me off when they give a discount to new custoemrs they want to charge me 350 for it but for new customers its under 200
