since the phone has windows mobile, is it possible to get viruses or spyware? has anyone gotten viruses on their MDA? 😳

It's possible but improbable because most virus out there won't run on the phone because it's a different architecture then a PC.
Someone might decide to write a virus specifically for this phone or windows mobile, but most hackers want to affect as many people as possible so focus mainly on the mainline microsoft products.

As with the earlier reply, it is very difficult to get a virus that will actually affect your phone. Windows Mobile software is written entirely differently that windows XP, etc.
If you are concerned about viruses, there are several anti-virus manufacturers out there that you can get anti-virus for PDA/Handheld devices.
