the battery life seems to be about average, and because extra batteries from moto cost in excess of $40, where could i buy cheap, reliable batteries that won't burn me (literally and figuratively)?

The Verizon razr is way overpriced 300 dollars with a two yr contract come on. Even with 100 rebate and new every two that is 100 dollars. And the phone is not even that good. It does not have an expansion card slot. Has no 2.5 jack only usb. Yes i know it looks amazing but the phone functionality is not even the greatest. I'd rather have a fully loaded phone and pay less. While the 815 is not as stylish its feature set are much better and it does not have the Verizon UI.

If you don't like Verizon, that's fine b/c it is your opinion, but this is a forum for the Verizon version of the RAZR, so your supposedly subtle digs at the perceived differences between VZW and other carriers seems to be a bit useless.

The talk time for the gsm razr is about 7 hours why is the cdma razr only give you about 3?

Verizon is introducing a year old phone with their version of the V3C razor, At about the same time cingular is introducing their second generation razr with itunes and a card slot. And the V3C is going to be much more expensive then the second generation razr for gsm. The only reason I still have Verizon is the network is very good. But I think im might switch I'm sick of paying more than I should for dated technology that is crippled. I want state of the art and cutting edge technology and it seems that Verizon could care less.

I was getting so sick of my v710 that I picked up a black razr from cingular a few months ago. Sweet phone, nice color, but the screen made this weird buzzing noise. Took it back to exchange and the rep told me that all razrs do that. Apparently, the screen emits a noise similar to flourescent tube lights. You have to listen for it, but once you know it's there, it's very bothersome. Anyway, I just returned the phone and now I'm waiting for the v3c to come out just like everyone else. Hoping the cdma version doesn't have this problem. This was the second time I considered going cingular for the cooler phones in the past 2 years. At least I know for sure that cingular service is still not as good as verizon in the chicago area. That's for dam...

Okay now u friggin people r just frustrating me.. Honeslty noone cares to hear u retards blabber on how the razr is bad, mean while its basically the same as the reg v3 but with better camera and more memory.. So wut it has the verizon ui, personally i like it.. Great u dont like verizon, suks for u switch noone wants to hear about it. So what is the deal with obex...Yes or NO. I have heard both, and now i just read that the ones that got shipped to the stores have it, but it was an accident. So doea that mean that if I order it online i will get one that will not support obex? I know this question has been asked a lot, but it sounds like there has been some new developments...If anyone has any good info, post it!

I went into Verizon today and the lady told me it will come in RED, PINK, and BlACK. Then she told me to look at the screen, and at the bottom it said:

1yr contract-(forgot- but i think it said 320 or 340)

2yr Contract-$300
No Contract-$420

There will also be a rebate on the phone, im guessing $100 because thats what that one verizon employee said on this site.

I'm glad I got to see this I'm not quite sure she was supposed to show me the prices, but hey im happy. 😁

I bought a V710 when first out and it functions poorly with the Lexus because no phonebook uploads, no ringing is heard through the car speakers, etc. Everything works with a Cingular V600 or Sony bluetooth phone. Would love to hear if this phone works better.

DO THEY MAKE A HOLSTER FOR THE RAZR?

IS THE VIBRATION STRONG ENOUGH TO FEEL IF IT'S IN A CASE?

If you're considering a major purchase, be safe, rather than sorry. Buying something you can't hold in your hands won't pay off. You'll be glad you hesitated when you see a similar item break apart or tear to pieces.
