Verizon razr is overpriced

slugphone

The Verizon razr is way overpriced 300 dollars with a two yr contract come on. Even with 100 rebate and new every two that is 100 dollars. And the phone is not even that good. It does not have an expansion card slot. Has no 2.5 jack only usb. Yes i know it looks amazing but the phone functionality is not even the greatest. I'd rather have a fully loaded phone and pay less. While the 815 is not as stylish its feature set are much better and it does not have the Verizon UI.

Razr will cost about $300 for verizon it has no card slot. And you can buy the cingular razr for $89 or less with two year agreement. Which means the Verizon razr is over priced when cingular will have the second generation razr out in about a week that has a card slot and costs less then Verizon.

Although the v3c may not have the high-end features you look for in a phone - it sounds like you are looking for a music specific phone - that does not negate the fact that it is a high end phone.

the original razr sold for more than this with a less advanced feature set. $300 seems to be the appropriate price range for a high end phone with ev-do, bluetooth, a megapixel camera and good design. it is a fairly common price for high end phones on any network.

Not when the bluetooth onlt allows you to use a wireless headset that isn't bluetooth it is crippled. Hell the nokia 6256i with full bluetooth no evdo but many features of the razr can be had for $99. The razr is year old technology and is very overpriced

OK. Maybe if you quit crying and read the posts on this forum, you'll find out that apparently the verizon RAZR does have an obex. 😳 At least the model I've tested in CC does have ability to send the ringtones and pictures. ONE MORE TIME: Price for cingy's OLD RAZR THRU CINGY is 150-50 mir. Look it up!!! You can buy VZ phones cheaper thru online stores or the ebay (i don't recommend it though). Verizon's much better camera and EVDO and the full voice command is slightly more - $200. You don't like it - that's kinda your problem. You think it's old and overpriced? Fine. Too bad. You've said it once already. Enough!

Maybe the Razr is overpriced but doesn't the marketplace ultimately determine the price? If people are willing to pay for it, albeit reluctantly, isn't that the "right" price? Same fundamental as supply and demand.

In my case I will be paying $419 for mine and I am not happy, but that's the way it is. No one is forcing me to buy it, much less stick with Verizon, but that's my choice.

Unless I was misinformed, The Razr should be 200 for a two year, and 300 for a one year. Also why are you complaining? You are not the one that is going to be paying for the phone, so in a nice way, please be quiet. Also, thanks to Gunny, check this out.

Yes, the new razr will be pricey. But you realize that this phone will have a lot of features that the first gen razr for Cingular did not have. I bet you the day the phone is released in the stores that it will sell very well. If people want the phone, they will buy it. Trust me. I do work for the company and unlike some ppl that work for the company, I know my ish. It'll sell... well.

I don't know about you guys but it's time for my upgrade so I get $100.00 toward my next phone (RAZR) then with the $100.00 rebate, in the end I would have purchased the phone for $99.99 or something like that. So I'm happy. 😎
