Why is talk time so low for cdma razr versus gsm razr

The talk time for the gsm razr is about 7 hours why is the cdma razr only give you about 3?

You know that's a good question. I would like to know too. That's one thing I seriously hate about Verizon phones. I want to charge my phone every other day rather than everday. I wonder if there is an extended battery for the phone and if so, will it make the phone look thicker?

To my knowledge there is no extended battery, and the reason that talk time is so much lower for CDMA phones versus GSM is in the technology itself. CDMA uses more power to transmit and recieve which is why in a lot of well established areas, such as the Phoenix area where I live, Verizon has VASTLY better coverage and connection quality than other providers.
