Motorola RAZR V3c

I know there has been alot of talk about this subject, and I've looked through the forum for answers but am having trouble.

First off, is Mobile Phone Tools software I have to buy or is it a free download? I've gone into Verizon stores, Best Buy etc.. and they never heard of this software. I tell them it is software that syncs up your bluetooth phone (ie v3c) and the PC...is this accurrate?

Im looking to use it to transfer ringers and wallpapers to my phone - thats about it.

Can someone explain to me where I can get this Mobile Phone Tools and how much it is (if it cost anything at all)

Hello, I'm using a Moto HS810 Headset with my V3c. I have noticed that at times the phone will just drop the headset and I won't be able to use it unless I power down the phone and power it up. More recently I have had to re-pair the headset with the phone several times a week.

Has anyone else was had this problem and know if there was a fix? I'm wondering if this is a firmware issue with the V3c itself as my headset worked perfectly with my v710 for more than a year. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

I currently have a family share plan. So i would have 2 pay $419 to upgrade. If i was to purchase a v3c elsewhere such as ebay would it be possible to unactivate my current phone and put the razr in its place.Please HELP!!!!!

My fiance and I are getting new phones through Verizon Wireless within the next 2 weeks and at first I was interested in getting the V, but its too expensive for me right now, so I've decided on the Razr V3c. I was wondering how the instant messaging (Yahoo and AIM inparticular) work with the Razr and if you like using it through your phone.

I just got my pink razr this afternoon and girls let me tell you this is a must have. Its awesome. Its so pretty I don't even wanna use it. It took everything in me to take the plastic off. That might sound nuts to you but its true. The wallpapers are finally girlie instead of masculine. This phone is gorgeous!!!!

I posted a review recently of the pink RAZR that I got just 2 weeks ago. I ended up experiencing even MORE problems than what I originally posted before I finally threw in the towel (loose keypad, hyper-sensitive side buttons, phone would shut off at random, bluetooth connection constantly dropping or not even connecting to my headset, disconnecting bluetooth would reset my phone, calendar wouldn't work at all or would freeze my phone, Pix/Txt messaging produced a Fatal Error message and froze my phone, and more -- all within 2 weeks of getting it, and I even replaced it once within those 2 weeks!!). 🙄

I ended up trading it in for a Motorola E815 and let me tell you... this phone kicks a$$! The graphics, sound quality, ringtones...

I have a Lifedrive PDA which is Bluetooth capable. I can connect it with my RAZR, put in the phone # it needs to call. The phone tries to call out but nothing happens. Has anybody figured out how to use the modem feature via Bluetooth or is there no way this can work? Thanks

I know there is a software update coming for the Motorola Razr V3c. I think they should release two different versions. One with the Verizon UI for the people that don't care or like the Verizon UI. And the Motorola UI for the people that are willing to learn a NEW UI! What do you guys think?? Thanks

Alright so I went into my local VZW store today in hopes of getting a new V3C with the .03 software. I was told by the techie that the software is not out yet and will be in about a month. Then, it will be free to have the software updated. What's the deal? I read that some of you guys have the .03 software. Help!

what if you used a battery from the cingular razr? Since it is suppose to last twice as long as the one from verizon? Would that make any difference or would it be the same?

Can anyone tell me how to disable the EVDO on my Razr VC3? Will I be able to enable it again at a later date? Thanks for anyones help.

What is EVDO? and what does it do if you have it on your phone?

So what did I just do?

Got Phone tools working perfectly and clicked on the Internet tab to see what it would do. It asked me if I wanted to download VENTURI 2.
So I did and eventually asked it to install and also install a fallback connection.

Pulled my internet connection from my laptop and went to surf the net while tethered to my phone with the USB cable. It failed the first time and said something about "make sure you have an account or the GPRS network is available.
(I am in an EVDO active area). It asked me if I wanted to use the fallback connection so I said yes.
I connected to the net at about 230k after watching the phone dial #777.
In my online bill viewer at verizonwireless.com it shows no usage.

Can anyone help me out with adding a dedicated ringtone for a contact?

I went to "Edit Contact" for that contact, scrolled done to "ringtone", selected then saved the edit.

Calls from that contact continue to activate the default ringtone.

As a seperate issue, selecting "Alarm Only" from the "Ring Style" menu results in no ringtone, rather than the tone I've selected for alarms. Anyone have that experience?

I have all my contacts set up on various rings and is always set on "master volume". When I go somewhere where I can't have my phone ring out loud, I thought using the smart keys on the left side and switching it to "vibrate only" would take care of not having my phone be heard. However, the phone still rings, even though I have it set on vibrate only. Am I doing something wrong?

How can you get pictures into the phone from your computer? I just got this phone and it's not quite as intuitive as I thought it would be, (or I am just a dope... ;o)

Does anyone know where I can download the Driver for my Razr V3c. I have the USB cable but I need the Driver so my computer sees the phone. Any help on this woudld be great!

hello everyone. i have a razr i got in december, i have the 02 software on it, i also use MPT 4.04 alot for my phone, ringtones, pics, etc..but i use a cable to do it. now, i havent read a clear answer on any of these topics about the software so, if i update to the 03 software will my MPT be worthless? i dont use BT to transfer just my digital camera cable. i would really like to fix this slow phone with the update but not if i lose making my ringtones, and updating my own pics to the phone. so can someone please enlighten me on what the heck is going on? thanks 🙂
