I don't even have a headset, but the little icon is showing on my screen and now I can't hear anything through the phone's ear speaker, I can only hear it through the speakerphone. Anyone know this problem or a solution.
Does anyone know when these new 6102 phones with Bluetooth are coming? I need to replace my 6102 and definitely want the Bluetooth now that it has been announced its coming. Any thoughts on when? Thanks!
well i went to cingular and tried out a couple of phones. i wanted the sony z520a but when i was playing around with it it just wasn't for me. I'm coming from a great moto v551 but i want an external color screen. well i decided to go with the nokia 6102. the display model seemed sturdy, and the screens where clear. i would've bought one but they where sold out so i have to wait till saturday.
n e way i just wanted some ppls opinions from people who had the phone. thnx for any help.
I fashioned a desk stand for my new 6101- the old DCV-14 Desk stand! Here's how it works-- the DCV-14 has two plastic pegs that go into the bottom of older phones such as the 6560 or 6610, but these obstruct the 6101. So, you just break the two pegs off with a set of pliers or what have you, and then file it down a little bit just so it isn't sharp, and there you go. my 6101 sits just fine. It isn't as secure, but it does stay pretty stable, I can still move the charger without losing the connection. The best part is that this allows you to use your existing Nokia chargers if you have them from previous phones. Also, the headphone will plug in to the back of the charger where the data cable normally plugs in and still functions fine. If anyo... (continues)
Does anyone know when the pust to talk feature will be available with Cingular. One of the reasons I got this phone was because of the PTT....and when the PTT feature is available will there be another phone that has a PTT key because the only keys that I see on the outside of the phone is the volume and camera activations buttons. Any information is appreciated. Thanks.
I have heard good things about the Nokia 3220 and the Nokia 6101 so I just can't choose which one I want! Two of my friends have the Nokia 3220 and are very happy with it but I have heard that the Nokia 6101 is great too so if you know anything about these two phones plz help me thanx ;)
Ok, so if I have an infrared port on my laptop, I need nothing to be able to transfer files to the phone right? And can the phone send stuff back, or be able to delete stuff? or will you need a cable for that? Thanks 🙂
This is my first Nokia phone and I have the 6101 for T-Mobile. I like the phone, but there is one thing that is really bugging me. After I write a text message and send it, the screen goes back to the text of the message that I just sent and I have to hit "options" then "clear text" for the text to go away. I would think that after sending a message that the screen would go back to the main screen. Is there a way to change this or is this just an annoying feature of Nokia phones?
When I get a new TXT message, I get an alert one time. With my old samsung phone, the alert would sound ever 1 minute or so. Is there any way to make this happen with this phone? So far, I can only get an alert one time and that's it.
Where can I get an IrDA to use for data transfer between the phone and my computer? Do I have to order one from somewhere or will places like Best Buy, Circuit City, ect. have one? I'm not very keen on e-bay so any other options would be appreciated! Thanks!
how do I add the pauses when I try to dial into my voicemail. It used to be press and hold the # key until it turned into a "p" but it didn't work... I'll admit, I just got the phone and really haven't looked at the manual but any help would be appreciated!
When I go into menu or something and scroll around and I want to cancel out i just normaly close the phone its habit. Is there a reason why the menu dones;t cancel and it says on the mini display "Running"
Question - for those who have the phone - about the camera
hey everyone, long time reader first time poster. pretty excited to be getting this phone, it seems really cool. i was always a nokia stick phone user but i want a flip now and i've considered motorola and sony but i have always liked nokia's quality. i hope it is available soon through cingular in california. former at+t user, not a big cingular fan but oh well.
got a question for the few of you that seem to have the phone already.
how does the zoom feature work on the VGA camera? i have heard that you can't zoom before you take a picture, only after. so does that mean it doesn't actually have true digital zoom, that you can only zoom once you've taken a shot? my girlfriend has a v551 and while it's not the best phone in the world, th...
