Motorola RAZR V3

I can not access my Phone Contact List / Address Book anymore! Here is what happened

I received a call from an unlnown number and it happened to be my friend who had recently acquired a new cell phone number. After the call I proceed to update the number into my address book. Here is what happened:

1. In Received Calls I selected the number and went to View

2. It showed as "name unknown"

3. Then I selected the "Store" Option

4. It took me to the Address Book "Entry Details" Menu

5. The Phone Number was listed against "No."

6. By mistake I hit "Done" without entering a Name or attaching the record to a Name.

I was on the phone last night and all of a sudden, the screen of my phone went blank, even though the phone still worked. I think it is a battery thing cause after like 30 minutes of messing around, i managed to get the screen to come back on. This morning though it went away again and no matter of messing around can bring it back. I've dropped it once or twice, maybe that has something to do with it. What should I do? HELP ME PLEEEASE!!! My whole life is on this phone.

Hey all.
I'm having trouble trying to store pics to my address book id's. I tried both ways to do it, bu taking the pic first then trying to add as address entry, but it keeps saying: Pictures are assigned to entries in phone memory only??? Then when I try to go through the address book itself, it doesn't give me the option to add a pic. Is this because I transferred my sim card over? So my address book is only stored on the SIM??

The question is: does anyone know of an application (can be Java) which puts (synchronises) Outlook Notes on a V3?

I know that V3 can be synchronised with a PC to some degree using the Tools, but this is limited to Calendar and Contacts, possibly Tasks as well, but not Notes.

This is a serious impediment for me, so I am looking for a 3rd party application. I know of one for the Mac, but I use Windows, so that's not much use for me.

Ok, i know these are a noob questions, but i cant figure out how to change my sms alert sound. Ive tried messing with all the audio options but it only changes the ring tone. Also how does one set up certain ringtones for certain numbers? Finally, even though i assign photos to names, they dont show up on the front LCD screen when that person calls. How do I change this? Any help is appreciated. Thanx! 😁

Hi, I bought an unlocked blue razr from ebay and maybe someone can tell me how to download pictures or songs from the internet. When I had the silver razr I bought from T Moblie I could just go to their website and download but this phone says browser not setup?? Help please... Kim

I bought a new Razr a few days ago and added Media Basic service (its been 4 days), but there is no GPRS icon and even text messages dont go thru.

Ive changes the web sessions settings a hundred times but nothing works. Is it something on the network end thaty Cingular needs to address, or is it a phone issue?

I bought it brand new from my local Cingular store, ahve no idea what Locked or Unlocked means, or if that makes a difference.

Any help is appreciated.

I just bought this georgeous phone, sexier than some of my past girlfriends. However; how do you program a calling card. I did so as a normal entry with pauses. For instance.

xxx-xxx-xxx p 1 p xxxxxxxxxxxx.

The problem is that when it comes to the PIN the tones are excessively long even though I tried retyping them quick. Is this where DTMF comes in? How to use DTMF is poorly covered in the manual. Any Ideas folks? I have a really cool ring tone from my SE P900. It's a chick singing "Ring, ring, ring" send a post or email me at kevina2@hotmail.com and I'll send it. I find it really annoying that if you set a ringtone for someone in your phonebook using the Ringer ID option, the phone also uses that ringtone for text messages coming from that person, instead of the default sound. I dont wanna hear a full mp3 song every time I get a message. Is there any way around this?

I got a Razr for christmas and I'm really excited as I've never had a nice celluar before. Anyways, I was particularly interested in the picture id for numbers. After toying and not being able to figure it out - I read the manual and found out only numbers stored on the onboard memory could have a picture attached and the same for categories (which is dumb).

My question is - how much onboard phone memory is there and how much SIM memory is there?

What should I be storing on which?

I'm a bit lost - so any help would be great!

Ive tried everything from changing the web settings, taking my phone to Cingular and letting a tech set it up, etc etc etc

And it STILL wont connect to the web or send text messages. Can anyone tell me if its even possible? Cingular was no help and said they did all they could. If I cant find an answer Im taking the phone back and will NEVER buy a motorola product again.


How hard can it be to get it to work? Its like some big mystery. All over the internet Ive found that many many Razr owners cant connect to the web, and for what reason? Makes no sense.

Any help? I bought it brand new at Cingular 3 days ago. They took the chip thingy out of my 3 year old Nokia phone and put it in the razr.

I had the phone for a couple of months and when ever I'm out in public and when I talk on my phone the ear peice volume seems not loud even though its on high 7. Can you please help me out on if there is a different way? Instead of buying bluetooth or hearing aids.

I recently bought an unlocked Razr from ebay. The phone is designed to use the Cingular network but my provider is Suncom. Does anyone know the Razr's GPRS settings for Suncom?
Suncom's tech support refuses to help.

I've had my black razr for about 4months now. Every now and then, the screen gets lines on it causing the resolution to get worse. If I pop out the battery and put it back, its fine. but then it happens again a few days later or even later the same day. I've noticed it happens mostly near or around where i work. Is there a problem with my phone or is something near my workplace causing some sort of interference that is messing up the screen?

Has anyone found a corded headset (over the head-ie: Jabra C650) with a mini USB plug? I tried an 2.5MM / USB adaptor but have had problems with bad contacts. Thanks.

Is this program user friendly? Im not too tech savvy but want some cool ringtones on my phone and don't want to pay 2.50 for every one. Is it easy to use? Does it walk you through the process of getting music from the computer onto the Razr? What about length per song? Number of songs the Razr can hold? Thanks!

Is it possible to connect to multiple devices via bluetooth at the same time? I'd like to dial with my Palm TX while using my headset. Both work independently of eachother, but not at the same time.

Got a V3 for christmas and im really happy

just a question about pictures...

Ive put pictures from my computer on there, and ive taken pictures on the phone. They all go to the same "pictures" folder in multimedia. Is it possible to put them in separate folders, like one for taken photos and another for wallpapers?

I just got the v3 today, generally like it, but the volume is just a little bit low when I am outside in traffic... I have it turned up to 7 which seems to be the highest. Any suggestions?

Would prefer an uncomplicated solution!!! (besides my getting a hearing aid!)
