Sony Ericsson T637

Just got an unlocked T637 from Cingular to use with my T-mobile service. But I can't log on to the built-in AIM or ICQ. Any ideas?

I was just wondering if anyone has experience with this phone in Central NJ area. I live in Summit (07901) and would appreciate feedback on call quality, reliability, etc.
And -- is the short battery life a serious issue? How long does it generally last with average use?

Just wondering if the t637 will sync (contacts and calendar) using bluetooth. Will it sync to Microsoft Outlook? I see all this Mac crap, will this bluetooth sync work for Windows users?

Hi, I have a SE T226 and just ordered the T637. I'd like to get the SIM card ready to go to bring all my contacts to the T637. I have some contacts on the SIM already and some in the phone. In PhoneBook>Manage Contact>Advanced>copy to SIM, it gives a message, "Warning! All numbers on SIM will be overwritten"
How do I get all contacts onto SIM without copying over the ones already there? How do I figure out which are on SIM and which are in the phone? Thanks in advance!!

Well I picked up a data cable thinking I could download my picture's to my computer. From what I under stand this cannot be done.

So my question is how can I do this?

If I email them won't I incur charges from AT&T? I don't want to have to pay them each time I want to see a full 480x640 picture.

I just got this phone and I have 2 questions.

One, what is this RED ARROW icon I see that's located on the right side of signal strength? The arrow actually points in a U-turn direction, pointing back at its tail?

2nd question, on my old moto V600 (and even other phones), I was able to go through the options/setting menu and disable my number from showing up on others' caller ids. How can I do that on this phone?

The other day, I was visiting my brother's house, and my new T637 (Cingular) searches for network and comes back to tell me no network is available. My brother, on the other hand, with his Siemens phone (AT&T Service) shows that he had great signal. How come my phone did not pick up AT&T signal? Aren't they supposed to be using each other's networks now?

I looked through the menus to find the available networks. Menu->Connect->GSM Networks did not list anynetworks. (Siemens phone listed a bunch). When I came back to my house, where there is Cingular signal, GSM Networks still shows an empty page.

I stopped by Cingular store, and the guy claims that AT&T customers can roam on Cingular, but not the other way around in San Francisc...

I recvd my T637 earlier this week from Amazon, and had a quick question about charging. How long do you have to charge the phone? Does the charging icon ever go away?

I charged the phone for approx 4 hours before first use, then I have plugged it overnight (7-8 hrs) for two consecutive nights. But it still continues to keep charging!! Will it ever say it has reached full charge?!!! Even if the battery icon is "full" when I charge with the phone on, it says "Optimized Charging" and if I switch the phone of, it just has a "Charging" icon.

Otherwise, I think this phone truly rocks!

I have a SE T300 and it's the worst phone on earth from a usability standpoint. Is this phone any better?

My specific bitch-list for the T300 -- Are these fixed for this theT637?

- Is there a missed call and message indicator light? On the T300 you never know if you got a call while away from the phone: there's not indicator light on the outside and the screensaver hides the message indicator on the screen. If you have keylock on, the "press 'C' to unlock" ALSO hides the message indicator. Takes me about 5 seconds to find out if I got a call.

- Is does the phone lag in responding to input? T300 is SLOOOOOOOOOW - I can key in an entire 7 diget number before the phone wakes up. Keypresses are always lagging behind.

Has anyone been able to access the Sonyericsson site on their t637 to download new content? I can't seem to get there on my phone. I've done the WAP setup routine at the Support area and have tried www.sonyericsson.com, wap.sonyericsson.com and mobile.sonyericsson.com and all get a "505: Bad Gateway" error. Any ideas or how you were able to do it? Thanks!

I have an Ericsson T637 but actually prefer the housing on a T616. Will a T616 housing kit work on my phone?

I just got this phone and I love it except for the fact that even when I have ascending ring off, it still starts quietly and then gets louder. Anyone else had this problem?

Currently using v600, but few complains so considering switching to T637. I'm on the ATT National GSM network. Just based on both phones, can anyone comment if T637 gets better reception than V600 on same network? I'm mostly concerned with reception, battery life, bluetooth, and aesthetics.

This phone is awesom. smaller and lighter. The RF is as good or better. Batt life is definatly better as well as the GUI and phonebook entries. Used IR from Palm to put numbers in.

If it could playback MP3 files it would be perfect! 😁

Any thoughts on what the best bluetooth headset is for the T637?

Just reading the specs that phonescoop has on this phone and it mentions that it does not have individual caller rings but the T616 had it? Can anyone comfirm or deny this? I can't believe they didn't keep this small little handy feature 😢

I am charging this phone every other day. Anyone know why the batter life is not longer?

Does anyone know if the the internet button on the right hand side of the T637 (Cingular) can be changed to perform another function?

It would be cool if it could be used to activate the voice memo feature, and record short voice notes.
