Usability vs. T300?

I have a SE T300 and it's the worst phone on earth from a usability standpoint. Is this phone any better?

My specific bitch-list for the T300 -- Are these fixed for this theT637?

- Is there a missed call and message indicator light? On the T300 you never know if you got a call while away from the phone: there's not indicator light on the outside and the screensaver hides the message indicator on the screen. If you have keylock on, the "press 'C' to unlock" ALSO hides the message indicator. Takes me about 5 seconds to find out if I got a call.

- Is does the phone lag in responding to input? T300 is SLOOOOOOOOOW - I can key in an entire 7 diget number before the phone wakes up. Keypresses are always lagging behind.

- when the keyguard is active and the handset is displaying the time in screensaver mode, a keypress or joystick move will pop up the "to unlock" screen. this window is sized smaller than the full screen dimensions and will allow the icon field at the top of the screen to be seen. i am able to see the missed call arrow and message received indicators clearly.

- the only delays i experience which i find annoying are within themes and sms. when selecting a new theme the handset takes a bit of time to "install" but this function is used rarely, so this is not a reasonable gripe for me. when using T9, the SE interface for word selection is wretchedly funky when compared to NOKIA and MOTO. it is not a bad delay, but if you are used to the...
