BlackBerry Curve 8330

So, I tried to download Adobe Flash and it is asking me what type of operating system I have. New to blackberry (obviously) , I do not know how to answer it. I've looked through the list and nothing sounds familiar.

Does anyone use the OS 4.7 for the Verizon 8330 Curve? What is the difference with this and 4.3 or 4.5?

okay, so i have been using the BB Curve 8330 for Sprint since november 2008 from a Palm Centro.

last time that i went to use sprint navigation it told me that there was an upgrade available and to upgrade now. so i did. when i went to save it, the prompt told me that there was already this version on my phone would i like to replace it..i thought this was a good idea because the new sprint nav update was a little buggy. since i did this though, i am no longer showing the sprint nav icon on my screen. i have tried hitting the "applications" button to show all and i don't get the sprint nav icon... and when i go into my options i see that sprint nav 2.1 is installed, but how do i get it on my home screen? i have also provisioned my data.......

I listened to my voicemail earlier today and I still the voicemail icon showing up on my phone. I have looked in every possible place on the pbone to try and delete the icon. I cannot find anything anywhere..... I have taken out the battery as well as made sure that my voicemail box is completely empty.


Anyone else have any suggestions for me? I'm pretty tech savvy I feel but this is def getting the best of me! Thanks 🙂

I owned a palm treo for many years. I loved most everything about the phone and especially the easy use of the calandar and contact functions. I loved that I could talk on the phone and at the same time switch to the calandar to schedule appointments with the caller. I loved having the option to use the keyboard or touchscreen. I loved having easy access to all applications. I loved being able to quickly access contacts, quick text, quick internet, quick contacts adding. The phone was great. It's problem was the software.

I switched to the Samsung Omnia and boy, what a dissapointment. Slow, slow, slow and not at all user friendly. The calandar and contacts functions were impossible to use quickly and easily. These functions ar...

...had the download link sent to my email. Opened the link in my email from BB and downloaded from BB.

It said the download was successful...Where can I find it to open it and start using it on my BB?

I have a voyager and have long thought about getting a Crackberry. I was wondering if anyone had any advice in this matter? And also if anyone new of anything new coming out anytime soon to VZW that maybe worth holding out for. Thanks in advance for any advice. 😉

Ok, so I have been noticing that my BB is slowing down a lot and lagging. Is there any way to speed it up? Also, does anyone know of an extended battery b/c mine dies real quick. Thanks.

Do you guys know that you have pre-paid smart device.That's not smart at all. I recommend putting credits on your account to view your emails. This is pathetic. Metro Blackberry!!! I am so speechless right now. Now the broke can look rich!!

I have my personal and work email going to my Blackberry. They have 2 separate folders/icons, which is great, and in my profiles I can set them up differently so that I get the blinking red light when I have new personal email but no reminder when I have new work email - this is also great.

However, is there a way to have it so the folder icon only shows new email (with the count of how many unread new emails I have) if I have new personal email but not if I have new work email? It seems that when I change this setting, no matter which email I'm in when I change this setting, it changes it for both. I get a lot of email at work and I don't want to have that icon when I have new work email - I'm either at work in front of my computer alre...

has anyone else recieved this error on their browser after travelling?

I've been through it a couple times and it does seem to work its way out after about a day. Only this time, its not coming back around

Can someone explain to me in detail how personal email works with this phone? I have never had a smartphone so this will be my first. I currently have a Windows Live account, and I have it set up with Outlook 2003 on my PC. I have it set up such that when I download my email to Outlook it removes it from the server, so if I was to log into my email via the web interface, any emails that had been downloaded to Outlook wouldn't show up anymore. I wouldn't want it to work this way with my phone though, as I like to keep my "master" email list in Outlook on my PC.

I am just curious how this usually works and what some of the configuration options are.

HELP! There are some boards that I am a member of. I can access the boards on my Curve, but I cannot log in. I get the main screen and go to the Log In screen, but then I cannot enter my log in information. The cursor won't let me enter any information. Can I anyone tell me how to get access to the log in screen? Is there a setting I need to check or change?

I'd love this phone even more if my e-mails were seperated from my text msgs. Can someone help me out.

Does alltel's curve have Flash in the browser? i heard from someone on here that verizons does but does alltels?
