Oh its great thus far. The screens are a little slow but thats the typical Moto and VZW thing i guess every moto i have had with them (especially since vzw uses their own iud's) has had that slow response time and it depends on time of day when its slow or not.. I know its odd but thats just the tourtued life of a VZW customer. Verizon has all these sucky phones and their phones cant keep up with the services vcast etc... AT&T has all these great phones but no services offered. Whats a cell phone junky to do LOL.... p.s. did you realize that vzw did not have one phone that was NOT a clam shell until the SLVR! but I ramble on to much however the phone is great so far. Not crazy about the keypad but im sure they will release a newer verson soon. also why does vze have to have like 3 or 4 phones of the same kinda like razr, chocolate, lg music phones, and only one open face phone... ugh
Rizr vs 5300
These 2 phones are basically the same except a couple of features. But, which one would you pick an why? Also, do they both support picture mail? (probably a dumb question, but better safe than sorry)

5300, I am a big nokia person. I have had less than acceptable experiences with motos. That is a personal thing though. Also nokias have been battery life and overall in my opinion are normally easier to use.

i wanted to know which is better and do opera mini along with other 3rd parties work with these phones also how much is the phones without contract does it cost $249 just like on the t mobile website

I've downloaded opera mini on my krzr and it works fine,but mine is an unlocked phone,so i don't know if that makes any difference.
Both phones do pretty much the same thing,besides one being a slider and the other a flip.

I have an unusual problem.
I have been a happy LG phone user for years. However, when Verizon recently put in a new cell tower in my neighborhood, the transmission from my 8300 became terribly muddled (in my neighborhood), while the reception improved a lot. They have admitted to the problem (the new tower helped most, but made it worse for a few) and have agreed to let me out of my contract if I desire.
To stay with Verizon, I tried using a Moto Krzr and found no problem with either transmission or reception. Both were excellent. Hmm...They have graciously offered to swap my phone, the 8300 for the Krzr.
Am I crazy to do it? Is there another Verizon phone you would recommend?
I also considered changing carriers--to T-Mobile and a Moto Rizr.
Thoughts? Please be considerate, phone fans.
