Prove it. I can find a dozen news and industry sites with articles showing that AT&T referred to it's own HSPA+ network as 3G (which, according to ITU, it is). For instance: Engadget said: It's a good day for next-gen network news, apparently -- first Verizon promised to bring its 4G network to 30 NFL cities by the end of the year, and now AT&T's John Stankey says its LTE network will arrive by mid-2011. Trials are already underway in Baltimore and Dallas, and Ma Bell's pulled some $700 million out of the kitty to fund the buildout, with investment scheduled to go "far beyond that" next year. On top of that, AT&T is also working to upgrade its backhaul connections for its current HSPA 7.2 3G sites to Gigabit Ethernet, and it's planning to upgrade the vast majority of its 3G sites to HSPA+ for real-world 7Mbps 3G download speeds sometime this year -- a seemingly big expansion from the "certain locations" we'd been promised earlier. Why the change? We don't know exactly, but AT&T is quick to point out that LTE customers will fall back to 3G quite often in the early days, and that Verizon isn't investing in 3G speeds at all anymore -- an interesting claim and potentially a major differentiator if the HSPA+ rollout is completed quickly, but one that won't matter if Verizon's network offers sufficient coverage. We'll see -- looks like the next year is going to be mighty interesting. Note the part where it says "real-world 7Mbps 3G download speeds," in reference to HSPA technology? It doesn't say "4G download speeds." So show me where AT&T intended to call their HSPA+ network 4G from the beginning (the beginning is not January 5th, when AT&T CEO de la Vega announced it was going to call HSPA+ 4G). AT&T has been talking HSPA+ for quite some time now, through much of 2010, and only decided it was 4G in January, following T-Mobile's decision to also call HSPS+ 4G, which was announced around November 2, 2010.

Hey man I respect your opinion. But I try to stick to the facts. Lots of people on these boards bash Sprint and never had the service. I have had Sprint, Verizon, tmobile, and att. So I know the differences between them very well. I know people that work for tmobile and have service with Sprint same goes for verizon and att. Anytime someones says anything negative about verizon they are greeted with the same verizon trolls that try to belittle anyone who dislikes big red. Verizon ripped off millions of dollars from there customers in data fees. Drop 10,000 emergency 911 calls during a snow storm and they still have people believe they are the best carrier Nationwide. BS! The difference is I dont work for any of these companies so I dont have any gain from telling the truth. 8)

diamondtroll, oh...diamondtroll. where to begin? we've explained this to you time and time again. you're not a troll for stating your opinion. you're a troll for posting ridiculous sprint claims all over VZW related articles. you're a troll for inciting flamewars on otherwise innocuous posts and news articles. you're a troll for vehemently denying being a troll. i could go on, and on, and on.
