I would say go with your first instinct. Every time I want a new phone I usually have two in mind. But one stands out more. It's just phycology, you won't be happy until you have EXACTLY what your brain wants.

go with the lx. the slide sucks a$$. small keyboard and shuts off everytime you close it? if you can deal with that then the slide is perfect for you. and about the age, my 60 year old grandma wants 1 soooooo bad. go with the lx though.
