OK, who knows anything about the Sidekick LX?

I have been hearing rumors of a Sidekick 4 and have even seen a picture of what it might look like, I think it was on BGR, but thought that it was a long way off.

Today, in the corporate store where I work, we got literature about a Sidekick LX that is going to be launched on Oct. 24th. It says that it is slimmer, sleeker, has a larger, sharper high-res screen and MySpace access.

It seems to have snuck up on me and I try to keep up with things on this board and others.

Does anyone know if this is the "Sidekick 4" or a phone that is supposed to pacify the hardcore Sidekickers?

mingkee, anyone?

What are the main differences between the LX and the SK3? Wifi, screen,

Is this the next generation SK or is it just a slight upgrade to tide us over until the SK4 comes out?

What are the dimensions or general feel size wise compared to the SK3?

Have you heard about the price on the SKLX and/or how will it affect the price of the SK3?

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply. Actually, the "Slidekick" is a different phone that is due out and is made by Motorola. The picture of the LX that I have shows a camera and I think that it is going to be "full-featured" like the SK3.

I am just suprised that I hadn't heard anything about this one. The picture that I have is actually in the form of reservation cards that will reserve a SK LX for customers to pick up on Oct. 24th.

It looks like Sharp and T-Mobile did a remarkable job of being tight-lipped on this one...

Thanks for the reply. I actually got the same information yesterday as well. The reserve cards say something about the "colors for each location may vary" in the fine print, so hopefully we won't have two phones that are blue/purplish. 🙂

SideKick LX (the expensive one) has a HD LCD screen and upgraded to the micro SD that supports 4GB, but comes with a 128MB card. Improved Myspace Mobile and it is Quad Band. Made by Sharp.

SideKick Slide (the cheap one) has a standard QVGA screen. Improved myspace mobile. NO memory card slot though. also quad band. Made by Motorola.

not to mention.... both WILL have mms capabilities!! no more emailing pictures, for those who have copmplained about.

i personally do not like the SKs but i am glad they are fixing and including more features for this rediculously hug phone 😛
