Hey folks. Looks like I solved my own problem, but I thought this info might be useful to others. Below is an email I got from Verizon. Basically, any sounds you want to send to the SCH-a670 from the Verizon PIX Place website need to be in WAV format, no bigger than 103K. Personally, I find this much more useful than MIDI files anyway.

PC TO PIX PLACE
To upload pictures or audio files stored on your PC to your Pix Place online album:
1. Go to
2. Log into your Pix Place account
3. Select "My Albums"
4. Select an album (such as Inbox)
5. Select "UPLOAD FILE(S)"
Note: Three files can be uploaded at a time. Pix Place has a 1 MB limit for storage. Files uploaded can be no more than 102 KB and the total file size of all files stored on your Pix Place account cannot exceed 1 MB. The following image types can be used to create a picture message:
" JPEG (*.jpg, *.jpeg, *.jpe)
" BMP (*.bmp)
" PNG (*.png)
" GIF (*.gif)
The following audio type can be used to create a picture message:
" WAV (*.wav)
6. Select "Browse" next to File #1, 2, or 3
7. Navigate to the file you wish to upload and select it
8. Select "OPEN"
9. Select "UPLOAD FILE(S)"
Note: You will return to the folder and receive a message if the upload was successful. If the upload was unsuccessful, you will receive an error message indicating why (i.e. the file was too large or there is not enough capacity on your Pix Place account).
PIX PLACE TO WIRELESS PHONE
1. Log in to your Pix Place account at
2. From the main menu, click CREATE
3. Enter the recipient information (the VZW 10-digit mobile number and/or email address)
4. Enter a subject into the Subject field (REQUIRED)
5. Under Add & Edit slides, click FROM PC
6. To add an image:
· Select WITH IMAGE
· Select Browse and search for an image on the PC
· Choose the file and click Open
· To preview the image, click VIEW
· Click ADD
7. To add sound:
· Select WITH AUDIO
· Select Browse and search for an audio clip on the PC
· Choose the file and click Open
· To preview the sound, click VIEW
· Click ADD
8. Join the image and sound together by clicking on the "+" icon below the sound slide and select JOIN
9. To add text:
· Click the "T" icon below the image that was chosen
· Enter text and click ADD
10. Click SEND
