MP3's and midi

A few friends of mine have phones that can be used as MP3 players, Now can those also be used as ring tones? and if so how do you or can you send mp3 files to your cell phone? We tried sending 30 second clips that are only about 235kb in size to the phone through yournumber@tmomail.net, but each time the message comes through but the attachment which is the mp3 file is dropped. Does anyone know how to do this? thanks

Hey hey, i jsut got a T637 and I have the bluetooth adaptor, does anyone know of site where i can download free ringtons, free .mid files to my computer so i can transfer them over to my phone. There are alot of sites that calim to be free but then the want to send it thru mms, which will cost you alot because your carrier charges for internet data usage. on the LG 8000 or the earlier version u could record a ringtone with the recorder on the phone and set the song to your ringer... i tried to record some songs and the songs go under My Sounds not My Ringtones... how do i set the My Sounds as my ringtones or how do i put them as my ringerS???

the subject says it all... anyone know?

Just wondering... I just recieved my 6102 through letstalk.com, great site.. prompt service. Anyway, the phone says it supports mp3 ringtones, however when I edit an mp3, upload it to my ftp server and download it through the phone, even though the file is a .mp3 the phone retrieves it as a .EXT file... now, I can make that the default ringtone, but if i want to assign it to a group .EXT files do not show up in the list of ringtones to choose from... any ideas on how i can save the file as an MP3 and stop the phone from converting/appending .ext to the filename?

Well, I've been making ringtones for myself and my friends for the past two years... pretty much since mp3 ringtones came out for cell phones. I host them on webspace which I purchase and let my friends download whatever they want without having to buy anything.

I also work in sales at a cell phone company. Nearly all of my co-workers have my webpage saved in their phone, and it's trickled down to a few customers along the way as well.

Last week I had a customer come in with a used phone that they purchased from a reseller across town, and my ringtones were on it. It really blew me away, but I didn't tell the lady that the Andre 3000 "I like the way you move" was one of my mixes. This was the first time I've ever heard my ringtones...

Now how do I put the card into the computer?

I can't figure out how to make my own ringtones on the a970, my lg 8000 works great with the ringtones but the samsung a970 has not been so easy to "mess with". Has anyone figured out how to work the ringtones? What cable works with the a970, anyone!!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!! 😕

I understand that I need a transflash card to get MP3s onto my phone to set as ringers, but with Itunes on my Apple laptop, how do I convert songs that I already have to the format necessary for my phone and card to read it?
