Is it "I'm going to be a jerk" day?

I've seriously had four people bite my head off because I did what my boss tells me I am required to do... i.e. sell our service. There was "Do you have Analog service" guy who got snarly when I offered to set him up with one of our free phones... and this guy just got mad because he called to pretend I was his own personal phone book... and I said, as I was pulling up my retail store locater, that we could also set him up over the phone and ship the phone to him. He snapped. "That's not what I asked for." Well cupcake, if you're going to be an asshat then go find a phone book and do it yourself, Stupid Fart.

I'm coming up with groups for my customers... Snowflakes, Farts, Assjackets, ... hmmm

commisions! :-(

So what are the commision rates for you guys? I know it's kind of a personal thing, but since i dont care much about the indirect store heres what i make:

10 per new activation
7 dollar sart access
5 dollar upgrade
10 dollars for data OVER 20 dollars add on, only happens when you get sidekick or blackberry add on
5% accesories :-(

10 dollars an hour.....

oh and if you dont meet your quota, they wont give you what you sold for the month

Example: I sell 20 new activations, my quota was 25, i dont get my 200

they had us all huddled up in interior rooms b/c of all the tornados.....there's already 3 dead in Gallatin and the worst is yet to come....this is getting pretty serious.....I called my mom and she's hiding in my dad's closet......

Half a$$ed mother lover!

Ok so thats a bit harsh but this stupid nincompoop keeps washing my stores windows even though we have yet to pay him once. Him and his female friend (he called her hun) came today cleaned about half the windows and left. they didn't even clean the dirty ones, they cleaned the ones really high up that no one looks through cause they are so high.

I can't just expect to get paid for only half activating the phone... "Ok you can now receive calls on this phone. What? You want to make outgoing calls to? Well I don't do that, you'll have to fix that yourself. Have a good day!" 😳 I was always taught never to do anything half @$$ed.

I know I'm a bit of a perfectionist but this is dudes job, the makes a living washing windows at $5.00...

It is so nice

To have a meeting from 1-5 that was informative and interesting (seriously) and then come to work for therestof my shift which is only till 8. This day is flying by and I love it! All except for the crazy dude that wants to give me things and wont stop winking at me while talking to my coworker. Um...is my scowl not deterring you? 👿

Ok so I have a customer in here right now who for the past 3 days has been in here six times because her phone will not work. (Mind you she just signed up for service 3 days ago!) Anywho....we have changed the sim card 6....yes 6 times!!!!!! We have exchanged the phone twice and it will not work at all no way no how! I get that stupid error sound...you know....doo Doo DOO. So frustrating. We have been to tech, oh, about 12 times and they can't do anything. Ok so it has to be the number...it has to be and this CSR will not change it because he has to follow protocol and send me to tech again where the will send me back to CS to change the number. I know he is doing his job and thats great but its frustrating. Just honor our request, p...

Why Lie?

Why lie to me about what you dialed to get through to me?

This gal had been a previous customer and had gotten into some trouble, canceled her service and paid off the account 'in the winter' but she couldn't remember when. Well it's been more than 90 days so she has to set up as a new customer to get service with us now, and came back as a restricted account with a higher activation fee...which she called 'unfair' (not our fault you've ruined your credit...)

I gave her the number to call care because she wanted to argue with them about how long it's been since she last had service. She said "that's the number I called." I wanted to say 'no it isn't, it's not physically possible to get to us using that number.' "You'll want to use t...

Verizon vs. Sprint vs. T-Mobile

😕

I have decided to leave Verizon because they REFUSE to sell me an unlimited text package and the overages are KILLING me.

I am trying to decide if Sprint or T-Mobile will be better for me, and I'm really not sure.

I live in Phoenix, travel a lot, and I'm on my phone constantly. I will need e-mail, web browsing, and all of that stuff too.

Any feedback here or privately will be greatly appreciated.

Learned something

I learned something here... I use up about one small bottle of lotion every month at this job... because I'm obsessed with not getting sick and scrub the skin nearly off my hands over the course of the day because this place is a germ trap... I have to have lotion to keep from having the backs of my hands cracking and bleeding (which has happened) and even my lotion is 'antibacterial.'

I Don't Memorize That...

This was just going to be one, the "I don't memorize that" guy but it turned into two before I could post. They're both short (wow!)

He wanted to set up service under his business account, he'd already talked to Business direct and they sent him to me (I don't know why, if I knew who had done it I'd hunt them down and bludgeon them) but he got mad because they asked for his Tax ID to set up service and he started yelling (because he started yelling this at me) that he didn't memorize that and it was at his office and then started screaming at us about how Sprint was offering him a trip to the moon if he stayed with them. He hung up when I explained that he needed to have that Tax ID and speak with Business sales, I only take Socials. Ma...

More than dead

No exaggeration. I've had one customer come in all day and she just bought a phone from us last week. She wanted a phone book transfer (which didn't work) and wanted me to explain her charges and I ended up having to return a fee she was double charged for so... my store is negative for the day.

Is every where else this ungawdly slow?! Could we really have supplied everyone with working phones and told them how to take care of them enough that they don't need us anymore? Gosh I hope not, I really doubt it.

See, this is the crazy $h!t I think about when I have too much alone time.

PLUS no one is posting in Shop Talk and the Forum isn't even moving that fast. Where is the rest of the world? Did I miss the take a nap memo? Cuz that'...

I've got the rest of the day today, and then we do inventory tomorrow.

It is very frustrating when customers come into my store let me sell them on a plan. and then they go and buy the phone from another store and bring it in to me so I can fix there plan and trouble shoot there phone. Like they just want to rub it in my face that they bought the phone from someone else

Water damage blues

What is going on lately? I have had so many people coming lately with water damaged phones. Some of them we can savage, open up, hit it with the compressed air, brush the green corosion off of the contacts with a metal brush, and send them on their way, for a small fee of course. The other day, a guy comes in with a Nokia 3200 and tell me it stopped working. No problem, we explain phone exchange and Nokia's Warranty as options. I tell him, let me just check a few things, maybe we can fix it here. I open it up, and it start dripping. Like, they dont think we will find it. People are so uptight about telling us what happened. So quick to blame the Carrier when they ran up a $300 roaming bill while doing shots of tequila on their last t...

amazing idiot tales

I'll list them in the order that I got them in...

-First of all, about the 3rd call I took this morning was from a type of customer I have never dealed with before... he had a voicebox! Like one of those robotic type voices that some people have to use if they have a hole in their throat or something... it was just freaky. Though I will say, he did ask good questions!

-Got a call from a guy that wanted Dish, seemed like a good guy, went through the whole processes as he did have a credit card... but as I get to taking down his information he tells me he is in Apartment #1208.
