So in the alltel markets that will be divested in the west, will they divest alltel's CDMA and GSM network. Or are they just divesting the CDMA and verizon keeps the GSM roming network?

My Alltel contract is up the first week of March. I currently have a Sumsung U520 and I am looking to change to a smartphone. Anyone have any suggestions on what the best smarphone to go with is? I am hoping that when I get my new phone it will have Verizon on it instead of Alltel.

🙂 Ok I moved to Northern NV from NY. I worked for VZW direct for 8 years but my husband was relocated out here with work and there isn't a corp. store within 200 miles. They opened a new Dealer plus store here and I'm now the manager. My store in going insane today. The only two providers in this area was Alltel and VZW, obviously once the auction is completed their will be another carrier in town but what do I do for the customers who are currently in limbo? The Alltel store is telling their customers to come here because they're no longer their customers, but because they're in the trust they're not ours either...hmmm what do I do for all these customers that have no clue what's going on? How long before the Alltel website show some change and we stop seeing all the Alltel commercials? I was hoping we would start to see some change, at least to the web site.

Hmmm...you know I got to thinking, and what about our commission rates? Do you think they will increase? Do Verizon employees make better commission!? Geez I sure hope so!

Alltel/Verizon really dropped the ball on this one. I've had several people come in to activate and then leave, hopefully they'll come back.

OK, I am in the red area of Nebraska and a current Alltel customer. What does all this mean for me? Will I become a Verizon customer or will I stay an Alltel customer?

Will Alltel/VZW keep the towers here or will they be divested to other carriers. Alltel has always been the best coverage for our entire family. Does anyone know. Also, we are do for an upgrade with Alltel keep my circle or will it immediately disapper. Even if we lock in for 2yrs what does that look like.

Will any of alltel's phones work on the verizon network? If so, which one's?

I'm a longtime VZW customer but I have a vacation home in Alltel territory. 0 bars on my phone.
After the deal is closed will I get a signal on my Verizon phone immediately or after some time? Likely time frame? Days...weeks?

And will I need to first go have my phone updated?
