Phone switch from ATT to T-Mobile

I want to switch from AT&T to T-Mobile and I just bought an unlocked phone from Nokiausa.com, a N97 mini. Will I be able to use the same phone, and not have a contract as a post paid customer? Thanks for any info.

T-Mobile To Introduce New Caller ID Feature

Breaking away from the news, sales and normal rotation of stories we’ve received word of a nifty little feature T-Mobile will introduce on November 14th. T-Mobile will launch a $2.99 Caller Name Display add on feature that will allow customers to view the names and numbers of callers even if they aren’t listed in the customers address book. We’re trying to get word on what devices this will work on but we believe there is a 30-day free trial for postpaid customers.

A nifty little feature for those of who constantly receive phone calls from unknown numbers though in my case, I just let those people meet my voicemail.

Anyone have any experience with this feature? I see TMO wants another $2.99/mon...

G2 being released in other colors?

I currently have a MyTouch Slide and I upgrade in Feb 2011. The G2 is really the only phone that appeals to me right now. I am not feelin that funky dull gray (titanium I guess) color. Does anyone know if they will be releasing this phone in more colors later? Black and white would be nice.

Zune software question for new windows phones.

Does anybody know if the zune software on the new windows phones allows you to save the music to your sd card/phone memory? It seems like the most logical thing to do, but I wouldn't be surprised if they used some kind of pandora style constant data connection required method of listening to zune music. Thanks.

Why the Delay? - BB 9780 in Black

Alright, so I am all gung ho about jumping onto the BB bandwagon when the drop date for the BB Bold 9780 arrived last Wednesday only to find out that the stores in my area only received the phone in white (seriously T-Mobile?) and none can tell when they will receive delivery of the phone in black. My two questions/gripes...

1. Why do the T-Mobile retail stores not know when they will receive delivery of the phone in black? It seems incomprehensible to run a business and not know when a shipment of stock is set to arrive. Isn't that the case for most other businesses?

2. Why is T-Mobile not more on the ball about availability of this phone in black? This phone has been on the "to arrive" list for months and the...

3 Questions about T-Mobile Data Plans

Can anyone tell me how I can figure out whether to go with a limited or unlimited data plan? My new BB 9780 is on its way and I will need to make a decision about adding data to my account.

How does T-Mobile specifically count one's data usage and what is considered typical (I know the use of the word typical is problematic but I use that for lack of a better word)?

Does anyone know anything about some type of upcoming sale/special related to plans for TMobile that include data? I felt like I read something very recently about TMobile having some type of holiday special in early December but now I can't relocate the info.

Sim Replacement/Insurance

Hi! Thnx for help in advance. Friend lost phone, but has insurance. He is also out of contract. Suggested he get a sim @ Tmobile store (corp) and use old phone while insurance sends replacement. Friend says rep would not provide sim for free, and says the rep told him insurance would replace old phone only (as it's what account would show) and not the actual lost phone. Does T mobile replace sim for free? Was rep correct about the insurance, or only trying for upgrade? Thanks again, any input appreciated.

Best Signal Strength? -No Smart Phones eligable

I need a new phone with stronger reception. The appartment is virtually a dead zone and I can only send and retrieve txt messages. Calls will not be received nor are they able to be dialed out. One bar pops up once in awhile. The second I step out of the appartment, I have bars. Numerous complains to T-Mobil. They said to get a BB and they will waive the requirement to get a data bundle. And they only gave me 2 bb options. The current is the 9300. But it only has a 2MP camera.

Camera is very important to me. I currently have the Samsung T919 and T-Mobil advised that it is one of the most complained about phones when it comes to signal strength.

I DO NOT want to purchase a data plan. I do not access the internet on my phone.

Any sugg...

will i be able to...

Will I be able to un-upgrade my device?

I finally signed a new contract and upgraded to the mytouch 4g. I like the phone but I am not liking the bloatware. I was using an unlocked phone (N900).

Can I take the phone back to the store and get my money back?

Thanks!

G2 or G4

I got the G4 over the weekend and I am thrilled by it. Since this is the first T-Mobile phone I have had for a while all my old and none functional phone numbers have popped up. I have used unlocked phones in the past so it only reads the numbers on my SIM.

Anyways, I was in the store and all the guys working there had a G2.

Do they know anything I don't? as in if the G2 is a better phone?

Please advise. I am still within the 14 day return period.

Thanks!

Opera on a BlackBerry

Hello all,

I am a TMobile customer anxiously awaiting the drop this month of the BlackBerry 9780. Can anyone talk to me about the use of Opera on a BlackBerry with this carrier?

In searching the threads in the TMobile forum came up with discussion of use of Opera on a Razr but I don't think that would translate to how it would behave on a BlackBerry.

Many thanks to all replies.

Switching from Verizon to T-Mobile

We are contractors that work in Alaska, all of Canada and the lower 48.

With Verizon we had 2 lines (shared plan) plus the broadband (Mifi)

We had been with Verizon for about 10 yrs, they pulled a really boner so are very fired.

I signed up with T-Mobile (have a G2 and a Cliq, plus Rocket stick on the way).

Am VERY nervous about cell and broadband coverage.

Does anyone in the forum have any insight as to what we may expected to get for coverage for voice and data? Does T-Mobile have a good partnership with the other tower owners?

Thanks
