advice on older phones
Using the awesome search engine on this site, I came up with a short list:
Nokia 5130
Nokia 5310
Nokia 6300
Samsung T519
Ericsson Equinox
Moto RAZR V3
As usual, the reviews are mixed, but I can ignore issues related to texting, internet, music, camera, speakerphone, etc. Reception is important. Less so battery life. Any thoughts?

MyTouch 4g HSPA+ Question
Quick question I'm hoping to have answered, went to 2 T-Mobile stores and still not certain, also tried Google. I have the MyTouch 4G on an EM+ Plan, 500 mins, $59.99, my location is downtown Chicago. In my "about phone" settings, the network type used to indicate "HSPA+." I had a sim card issue with wifi calling and was sent an OTA update from tech support.
Ever since, the network type always indicates either "HSDPA" or "UMTS" and never "HSPA+." The store reps have told me that although the phone displays HSDPA/UMTS, it is still running at the "4g" speed / HSPA+ and that the network does it automatically if I am in a 4g area, which I obviously am.
This just doesn't make sense to me, am I missing something? The Samsung Tab o...

Potential big T customer...
Now, I understand that most of the people that use this particular forum room are either T-Mob employees or customers, so I was wondering if there is anything I should expect or watch out for in starting service with them?
Remember, one more educated customer is one less customer on the phone inspiring new material for the Shop Talk forum.
Thanks,

Switching: Sprint to Tmobile
I'm looking to get a new WP7 device and Tmobile seems to have the best selections (HD7 & Dell Venue Pro). The only issue seems to be their service plans. Am I missing something? Sprint has a $69 plan that includes unlimited data and text, while Tmobile looks to charge an extra $50 for data and text not to include $50 for the talk time. WTH?!?!
Really could use some insight into getting a good plan (if that is possible).
