Boost Handsets on Nextel Network

I seen a thing on sprints site that says you can bring your boost phone to the nextel network. But a sprint rep said it cannot be done, that boost phones do not work on the nextel network. I need a nextel phone. I was thinking that it would be great if I could get a I875 and use it on nextel with my old sprint number!!

i450 & Opera Mini?

Folks, I've got the USB Cable (NNTN5405A, hope it's the correct one) and I've downloaded Opera Mini, both basic and advanced(.jad & .jar files). I'm not sure which will work best on the i450. Anyone know?

I've never installed anything on this phone before. Do I need a middleware, or install program?

Any secrets to the process?

Please advise.

Problem with Boost Phone

I've been having a problem with my phone for about a month now. When other people call me, the call goes through, but they cannot hear the ringing on their end (and therefore, they think something is wrong with my phone and may hang up). If they wait on the line long enough, the call does go to voice mail like it should (and I can pick up the call if I'm available).
I have experimented with this a little bit and have noticed that this happens on calls from my home phone (a land line), several other landline phones, two different friends' cell phones (one alltel, the other cingular). But that it doesn't happen from my mom's cell phone (also boost), or the boost customer service.
I have called boost customer care twice. The first time...

PROBLEM ACTIVATING PHONE

Anybody had this happen to them? I bought a I855 right after Christmas at BESTBUY and came home to activate the phone. When i was inputting my personal info and address i got stumped at my zip code. When i entered it, it came back as a invalid zip code and not in the coverage area. The coverage map on Bloodmobile's site clearly shows this area is IN the coverage area. I took it back and got my money back. Wonder if this could have been resolved with actually talking with a rep from boostmobile over the phone and trying to activate it that way? The wait was 45 minutes at the time, no way i was gonna wait that long. There are 3 places here in town that sell these phones...wonder what the heck is going on? I really want one of these phones.

Form factor of i835 holster...

Talk about ass backwards, the holster is designeed to craddle the phone display side in, speaker/battery door out! wtf? Every time you get a call or a chirp, you have to take it out of the holster to see who's calling, this renders the phones capability of making, and answering calls and chirps, with the flip closed while in the holster useless! That's the reason I upgrade from the candy bar style phones to a flip..anyway I'm ranting, but does this irritate any other 835 owners? Anyone know of any non oem holsters that will allow the phone to be carried display side out?

Thanks..

DC(chirp) Connecting Problems

I've had my boost for some time now, but since the first day, I've never been able to receive a DC(Chirp). I've called, and had my IMEI(i think) set to default, and that was suppose to fix it, but it didn't. I just want to know if their is some type of fix for this.

boost question

sorry bout this question. I just became a Boost member and i'm not very excited right now. I've had tons of text messaging problems which no one is able to help me with. I called Boost, which transferred me to Sprint and nothings helped. The lady i talked to said they've had numerous complaints on text messages for those who changed to the premium plan. She had no idea why. My question is how come u can't buddy list a Boost number on AOL like other cells? When i buddy list mine and send a message it never comes. Is it just not compatible with AOL?

Boost Messenger Billing

Hey Jess,

From what I understood boostmessenger was not charged the .99 per client per day if you where on the premium plan. Which I have used it almost daily since I have had my service and now all of a sudden I am getting charged.
02/19/2006 7:33 PM MSN - IM Debit $0.99
02/14/2006 8:53 AM Yahoo - IM Debit $0.99
02/12/2006 12:34 AM MSN - IM Debit $0.99
02/11/2006 1:40 PM Yahoo - IM Debit $0.99

From what I can tell I have never been charged up till this point to which I have only been charged on those dates. Am I wrong? Am I supposed to be charged? If so I am done using BM.

Upgrading my Boost Phone

How big of a hassle is it to upgrade my phone? I have a i215 that just died last night. I am going to be picking up a newer i450.

Am I going to have to call customer service, or do I just swap sims out?

Is there a way to transfer my contacts?

Do I still get the $10 credit even if I have an existing account?
