I have a heck of a time finding places to refer customers to when it comes to replacing bad SIM's or activating the occasional handset that "fell off a truck I believe only Nextel Retail stores are stocking Boost Starter kits..a starter kit has the Sim card and a activation card worth 10.00 on the new activation...

Help me with some ideas, guy's.....I have found a website; www.pcs4less that sells them at price that is a little steep, but I would love to hear about your suggestions...Thanks, Jess

Nextel phones on boost??

If I was was to purchase a nextel phone and wanted to use it on boost, would it have to be unlocked or could I just put a boost prepaid starter kit in it? Or would I be better off just buying a boost phone with sim?

moving.. service, # questions.

Greetings everyone, my first time posting in the boost section. Just have a few questions..
I've been working alot (setting up fiber) in the Ashland, KY area but my current cell is thru vzw. Their service here is non existent, seriously.. sometimes my phone can't even display the time up here(?!). I was hoping to just get a prepaid phone, and the majority (read: everyone w/ a cell) uses nextel. I was thinking of getting a boost prepaid since I saw them advertised and it was rather inexpensive, like $50 or so. My question is will I be able to obtain a number local to the area I'm working or will I get stuck with a # local to my home (in Mass) that's long distance for everyone here in KY??

Also, if I find one of these phones at a walmart ...

Boost Billing SCAM

Plenty of news about prepaid lately. Funny how nobody is talking about Boosts 2-way billing policy.

Did you know Boost bills for 6 day of 2-way usage if you use it only 5 days.

Boost begins its billing time at 3:00 pm. That way if you used your 2-way only during business hours, they can charge you for an extra day a week.

Even the customer Reps. at Boost won't give you a straight answer if you ask them why they don't start billing at midnight. They hung up when I asked for a supervisor.

If you use a boost mobile as your work 2-way, you are paying an extra 20% a week.

Also: For 2 years the Text message Rates on all Boost Mobile products have been wrong. Boost claims unlimited e-mail yet charges 10 cents per page sent. Sal...

Using Boost as a laptop tether...

Has anyone used Boost as a laptop modem? Did you pay voice rates (i.e. 25 cents a minute) and what kind of speed did you have?

Thanks!

Long Distance

I live in New Hampshire and somebody told me that if I get a Boost Mobile phone up here I will be assigned a New York number so that anyone who calls me will be calling long distance. Is that true?
