PROBLEM ACTIVATING PHONE

MDIZZLE

May 10, 2006, 9:26 PM
Anybody had this happen to them? I bought a I855 right after Christmas at BESTBUY and came home to activate the phone. When i was inputting my personal info and address i got stumped at my zip code. When i entered it, it came back as a invalid zip code and not in the coverage area. The coverage map on Bloodmobile's site clearly shows this area is IN the coverage area. I took it back and got my money back. Wonder if this could have been resolved with actually talking with a rep from boostmobile over the phone and trying to activate it that way? The wait was 45 minutes at the time, no way i was gonna wait that long. There are 3 places here in town that sell these phones...wonder what the heck is going on? I really want one of these phones.

Hey MDIZZLE...

Give me a contact number(via Email) and a good time to call you and I will try and reach you on Monday. I could also use your ZIP code. I bet I can resolve the issue for you!

I have been swamped lately with a new position at work and I have not had a lot of time to do much of anything lately...14-16 hour days leaves me a little dizzy. I have just taken over our Transition Bay for new agents and I would appreciate feed back on what you guys would like to see out of the customer care agents you talk with ?

My zip is 76302 and i live in WICHITA FALLS, TX.

Is there any way you can tell me for sure if boost will work here?

we have zip codes starting at 76301 to 76311, i am just wondering if i could have entered one of those other zips in the online form if it might have worked. I did not try them all.

MDIZZLE, your in a Nextel Partners area...this means that we at Boost don't have access to local area codes and prefix's. If you still want a Boost based upon a need for the DC and our great nationwide coverage I would encourage it!
BUT.... you will always have strong service based upon the Nextel footprint, but all inbound callers may have to pay any local toll or long distance charges.
Sorry, this is an issue that pops it's head up more and more as we grow. We hope to have access to those local numbers but Nextel partners owns the license and it is what it is...Another issue will be the time frame for your "Boost Time"..boost time starts at 9pm for our pay as you go clients and 4pm for our Premium Plan customers, but in the Nextel Partne...
