Samsung Galaxy Tab question

I currently have an HTC EVO with text and data only. Any chance I could upgrade to a Galaxy Tab without getting an ETF?

Ignorance.

I work at an Indirect Sprint store. i love my job and I believe in the value of what I sell. However, throughout the course of my employment with Sprint--and my work with the wireless industry in general--I've noticed how truly ignorant customers are of the processes, rules, and 'fine print' associated with wireless companies.

Here are a few of the many misconceptions and assumptions I hear each day. let's see if some of you reps can identify with me.

-"I paid xx dollars for my phone at ____; therefore, I should be able to get a new device at the same cost."

I'm quick to remind customers that when they originally purchased their phone, it was when they had first joined Sprint or renewed their contract. They entered into a legally b...

Can I do this on a family plan?

Question can I do this without any hiccups?

One of the phones broke down with 4 months to go on a 24-months contract. If I simply upgrade the phone, Sprint gives me $75 off retail and that's it.

What I want to do is open another line (#3), get a fully discounted phone ($150 for HTC Shift right now).

The pay $50 ETF, cancel line #2 AND (this is must!) port the number over to line #3.

This all seems logical. With customer service be able to follow through? :-)

Spy apps for non Droid Sprint phones

I have two people on my account that I would like to get records of text messages and call logs from. It seems that Sprint no longer even provides details on all text messages of numbers on your bill or the website anymore like they used to. They say it's a security concern even though they are all on my account and in my name. I heard the other day Droid has an app that can send you text message logs and call logs but are there any apps that can do the same for a Samsung Exclaim and Samsung Highnote?

HTC Evo or LG Optimus S

Looking for some input from folks on which phone I should get. I am currently a Blackberry user, but am sick of it and am switching to an Android phone.

I typically use my phone for managing multiple e-mail accounts (both work and personal). Web surfing when I'm bored and pictures of my kids.

I have been doing some research and read several reviews and am struggling to decide which direction to go. Is it really worth the $199 for the Evo or do I save the money and go for the cheaper $49 Optimus.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Premier Customers Lose Upgrades, 04/01/2011

Coming 04/01/2011, Sprint will be splitting their Premier program into two seperate tiers; 'Silver' and 'Gold'. Early upgrades will only be available to the 'Gold' tier.

When the new tiers take effect in April, current Premier customers who only qualify for Silver will immediately lose the one-year annual upgrade and will instead be switched to the 22 month upgrade.

This means that for future Premier Silver customers who have their upgrades now, use them or expect to have another 10 months added on to wait.

To clarify, the requirements for the new tiers are;
Silver - $69.99 Individual or $99.99 Shared plan over three months (current requirements)
Gold - $89.99 Individual or $169.99 Shared plan over three months (Requires highest ...

Attention: Samsung Epic 4G Existing Users! Question. RE: Downloading MP3 Ringtones

To all the Epic 4G Users out there,

I am a new Epic 4G device owner on the forums here. My phone is the Evo 4G and the Epic 4G is for the wife. My question to you all is if it is possible to use full MP3 on this device as ringtones or not? I downloaded the same application I have on my Evo 4G from the Marketplace(i.e., Ringtone MP3) onto the Epic 4G last night but faced some challenges in relation to being able to use the MP3s as ringtones. It's just not letting me use them because apparently this phone uses some .ogg/.oog file formats as ringers.

Any and all help here is kindly appreciated.

Thanks!

Recent Network Speed and Quality issues?

Normally I never drop any calls, always receiving constant 1.5Mbps to 2.5 Mbps Within Northern Denver metro area. I would even get full bars in North Boulder CO. This past week My speeds have been average at 300Kbps. I have been dropping more calls than I ever have with Sprint.

Anyone else having issues recently like this in there area?

Galaxy S line still doesn't have 2.2 froyo

And I don't care... The Epic 4g is still truly Epic on 2.1

Here is my take on it

There all this talk about fragmentation on Android. πŸ™„ People continue to blame Samsung and say they are slow to update there phones. I disagree. Samsung has released the update already and its in the hand of our beloved carriers to be pushed out as an update. Samsung has already done there part.

Furthermore if you are unhappy with your device blame your carrier. Tmobile released the Vibrant without hspa+. Att and tmobile released the Captivate and Vibrant with no camera flash and a lot of lag(There is a fix). Verizon, att, and tmobile had the front facing camera removed... Why? Who knows weak 3g network is the only thing I can think of. Verizon al...

Samsung Transform and 2.2

So I was reading around the web, and saw a rumor that S&R stores are updating the Transform with 2.2. There was something about the file size being too big to do an OTA update. This seems weird to me, but I thought I'd follow up on it here. I haven't had a free moment to call my local store while it was open to find out first hand (that and when I do have a free bit of time, I forget.... 🀭 )

If that's not actually the truth, is there any insider info on the 2.2 update for this thing? I'm loving the phone, even with it's shortcomings, and from what I hear, 2.2 will probably deal with a lot of the major issue.

I gotta say, I've never missed working for Sprint and being an insider more than now. ☹️

Step in the right direction.

First Simply Everything for $99.99 and now TRUE Unlimited Mobile to Mobile Calling at no additional charge (on qualifying rate plans, of course). Mr Hesse I applaud you and again I request that Sprint bring Unlimited Talk to $69.99, Unlimited Talk and Text $79.99. I truly believe Sprint is the carrier that can do this.

Sprint/Clear calls tmobiles 4g bluff

I was checking out clears coverage maps and saw this.
Clear said: about t-mobile
First they called it 3G.
Then it was 4G-like.
Now itΓƒΒ’Γ’β€šΒ¬β„’s 4G. Confused yet?

They even compared verizons 4g vs there 4g

Verizon Wireless is a telephone company that is just getting into the 4G game.

Notice how Sprint/Clear has 3xtimes the amount of Spectrum as the other 3 major players. 😎

Help!!! Loyalty upgrade question.

I currently have a Sprint family plan with 2 lines. I am 12 months into my contract and would like to upgrade through Best Buy or Radio Shack. When I check my upgrade status through Best Buy they say the primary line is good to go and the secondary line will be ready on 1/01/11. Does that mean we can get two new phones at the new customer 2 year pricing?

I know with the Sprint Premier loyalty program only the primary line is eligible. So I'm slightly confused here. Anybody got any ideas?

And to add even more confusing details. Radio Shack has my secondary line listed as the primary line and says its the one eligible for the upgrade 🀨 . When we called Sprint to clarify, they said they switch the lines after 12 months so both lines ...
