Epic or Evo?

I'm stuck between the two. I've never had a full touch screen phone hence why the Epic pulls me more but I need some real insight on owners of these phones. The Evo is $50 cheaper with my upgrade but I don't want that to be the sole deciding factor in my decision. Any insight would be appreciated!

How do I block texts??

I know there is a way to go on the Sprint website and block texts, but it's not letting me. I went into My Account > Preferences > Limits and Permissions > Block Texts, but the only options I get are to block the other 3 phones on my account. There is no place to enter the number of the individual who is actually harrassing me.

Furthermore, the instructions that come up when you click on "Block texts" are (I swear to God -- copied and pasted):

Manage text message instruction copy. You can Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Sed eu nulla vel lorem luctus volutpat sed ac ipsum. Ut lectus eros, euismod quis egestas in, ullamcorper vel lacus. Nunc eu risus metus. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing e...

Forced Roaming for Lotus & Lotus Elite

Starting from home screen:

1.) Dial ##2342#
2.) Enter your MSL # when service code message appears (you will have to call Sprint if you don't know it).
3.) Select option 2 (field tests)
4.) Select option 4--band preference (Elite), or option 3--mode preference on LX.
5.) Select "cell only."

To reverse this, follow steps 1-4, but select "digital only" to return to auto roaming.

Enjoy!

Question for Sprint employees! (SERO Premium Content)

Hello all, I am going to upgrade to a SERO Premium plan from my existing SERO plan and I had a question. I was told on the phone by employee sales that the only way I'd be able to purchase a Samsung Epic would be through the phone and at full price (not eligible for upgrades yet)because of me being on the SERO plan.

Question is this: Would I be able to purchase an Epic on eBay or any other retailer and request an ESN swap or would the only way to purchase an Epic be through employee sales? Thanks in advance.

Epic 4G Notification LED

Um, is the notification LED pattern a little strange? 😕
Blinks a few times, pause for a minute, blink a few more times...
It'd be more useful if it blinked constant.

Good Intercept Apps?

Anyone have any apps they recommend for the Intercept phone?

I have noticed some delay in programs loading, although it does not bother me too much. But I figured I would check and see if anyone had any suggestions for essential apps I should download to make my first Android phone better.

Thanks

The Epic 4g is beyond Epic!

The whole Galaxy S line is full of powerhouse devices on its respected carrier but the Epic 4g just out does them all. Anyone who complains about paying 50 dollars more deserves to have the second best device out which is the Htc Evo which is also a great device just not as good as the Epic! 😎

Questions about the BB's

I've currently got an 8330, and kinda hate it. Well... it's more of a love/hate relationship. I love my BB, but hate how slowly it operates.

My question is about the 8530 specifically. I don't want another BB that takes forever to open a message, or start the camera and save a photo. How does the 8530 perform for everyday tasks? And should I just pony up and get the Bold?

Thanks!

Iconic phones soon to be available on the legacy SERO plans

http://mcguireslaw.com/2009/07/24/psst-the-palm-pre- ... »

Russ specifically talks about phones like the Evo on the $30 SERO plans down in the comments. If this is actually true, I might be switching from BB to an Android device. I'm just not sure I want to pay $120-$240 a year more. Regardless, I'm glad that Sprint is considering this.

samsung reclaim not getting texts or calls....HELP!!

I am wondering if anyone has ever heard of this. I have a samsung reclaim and there is times (random) when people will text or call me and I won't get them. If they leave a voicemail I will get it; and if they text I do get them a couple hours later or the next day. It doesn't happen all the time but it does happen a lot. Location doesn't matter because I have a roommate that lives with me that has a different Sprint phone and they never have this problem. I have also exchanged the phone 3 times.... always does it. Please let me know if anyone knows why this would happen.
