How do I block texts??

I know there is a way to go on the Sprint website and block texts, but it's not letting me. I went into My Account > Preferences > Limits and Permissions > Block Texts, but the only options I get are to block the other 3 phones on my account. There is no place to enter the number of the individual who is actually harrassing me.

Furthermore, the instructions that come up when you click on "Block texts" are (I swear to God -- copied and pasted):

Manage text message instruction copy. You can Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Sed eu nulla vel lorem luctus volutpat sed ac ipsum. Ut lectus eros, euismod quis egestas in, ullamcorper vel lacus. Nunc eu risus metus. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing e...

I think youre doing it wrong, you have to go to:
-------> "My Device And Media"
-------> "Messaging"
-------> "Block Texts"

I just tried it that way and it didnt give me any errors. I would log off and try it again

Thanks, Sprint 2008. I did this but when I click on "Block Texts," all I get is a list of the current phones on my account with the question "Who do you want to block?" There is no option to enter the number I would like to block.

As much as I would like to block my husband and children at times, what I would really like to do is block the annoying notifications I keep getting from 66937102.

Am I simply reading the question wrong? When it says "Who do you want to block?", should I select my own phone and then it'll give me a space to enter the offending number? Or am I doing something else wrong? Sorry to be so dense (and lengthy)!

There is a much simpler way, do it from the phone. Send a text message to shortcode "9999" and in the body of the text type the word "block" then put the full ten digit number of the person you want to block, no spaces or punctuation in the number. If you wanted to block me, and my phone number was (704) 268-1689, the body of the message should say

Block 7042681689

You can do this for up to 50 numbers. You will know you did this right because less than 2 minutes later you will get a confirmation text back confirming you blocked the number. There are similar functions for blocking email address for texting you, short codes, allowing numbers to text you again, etc. Let me know if you need additional help.
