New Sprint commercial shreds competitors like cheese...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlkT7gRM0xo »

In the news release about the commercial... he explains how VZW and Tmobile openly throttle users after a certain limit and ATT doesn't limit you, they charge you out the yazoo for the service.
Sure enough, VZW and Tmob do this openly and it's part of the contract you sign with them...

Great commercial. Reminded me of a Samurai sword... Sharp, swift, and deadly.

question

So this guy just told me that he can add a line to an individual plan for just ten bucks with sprint. Good deal if true. Is it true or did he just get wrong info?

I call BS! ! !

Today I went into a local Sprint Store on my way to work to pay my bill.

I walked in and noticed it was a new location and didn't have a kiosk set up which is how I generally pay my bill because I don't want to wait in line.

Well this store, being new, was pretty empty and I asked the lady if they take payments. She says sure, but only cash. Great! That's how I pay I tell her.

She then proceeds to tell me that there is a $1.50 fee. I was like you charge a fee to take a cash payment? She says, yes to use the system.

Now don't get me wrong, I get the idea of charging a processing fee (not that I agree with it) when you pay with a credit card through an automated system or online.

BUUUUTTTTTTT, paying by cash in the Sprint Sto...

Changes & challenges

The rumors of Sprint absorbing T-Mobile are interesting. Possibly a good thing if it formed a viable alternative to the 'mega-coms', VZW & Att.

Mostly curious about the reported coming of the Nexus S on the Sprint CDMA network. I've wanted the Nexus, but not on TMo due to poor local coverage.

Any confirmations from within the mothership?

Went to best buy looking for Blackberry Bold....

I went into Best Buy today to purchase a Blackberry Bold because I was going to add a line for my GF and they told me they had none in stock. I asked them to search for some in stores around my area and they told me that all were sold out and they cannot re-order because the phone has been discontinued as of last week. Wonder that the reason would be? Is the bold touch coming sooner then expected? Any thoughts or suggestions?

Question for a sprint rep/customer

I'm trying to find a clear answer online, but I keep getting conflicting sources. When a sprint customer upgrades after their 2 year contract is up (whenever they're eligible) what does their pricing look like?

Do they get new customer pricing? Is it something ON TOP of new customer pricing? (EG, like Verizon's NE2 program) or is it a discount off of the retail cost of the device?

I tried spoofing sprint's website, but it won't let me see upgrade pricing without being a customer.

Thanks in advance.

Coverage Change, $10 Data Requirement, $1.99 411 calls

Are any of these changes considered a material change in the TOS to Sprint? They're all considered material to me.

Security deposit question

Today I went into a Sprint store to see about activating a line with Sprint and I was informed that I owe Sprint around $650.00 from a few years back from an early termination fee and a device not being returned within the 30 day cancellation range. I was told b/c of this that in order to activate an account with Sprint I would first have to pay the full amount that I owe, then apply for the account in the store and possibly put down a security deposit on the account. I was wondering if anybody who works for Sprint could possibly tell me how much of a security deposit am I looking at b/c of my situation? Also my credit score is below 600 so will that make a huge difference in how much I will have to lay down in order to activate a line? If a...

10.00 Smart Phone Fee

Does anyone know which plans are exempt? I remember in the email it said some plans are not going to be charged.

We are on a business plan, we get 1 year upgrades at 2 year prices, etc. etc.

How would I check to see if we will be charged when swapping or adding new smart phones? We have had sprint since 1999, and just split off into 2 separate business plans.

Ok, sprint released several android phones. Now they need to announce the 2011 messaging phones. I don't use the internet on my phone. I want to see a phone better then the rumor touch. That is a great phone. I think they can get a phone line the env 3, octane, neon 2. Has anyone heard anything?

I can't believe this!

Let me start by saying I have been with Sprint for over 10 years, have a 5 phone plan, everything-everything.
We just upgraded 3 of the phones to EVO's-downhill from there. Phone 1, was told it was eligible for full credit and was sent to a store to pick it up. Store said, 'sorry, no credit for phone'. So wife really wanting phone, paid full price. We were then rejected for the mail in rebate. I have been on the phone for over an hour with Sprint! Rebate division said there was an error and we DID qualify for rebate and full credit. Great! Now over to customer service for the credit issue. I ended up being escalated up the line. I am now being told they have no record my purchase! Yes, I have the phone, 4 months now, yes they see it was act...

Sprint Adds 1.1 Million Subscribers in Q4

Since everyone always likes to pick on Sprint (myself included), I figured I'd point out a positive, that Sprint added 1.1 million subscribers in the fourth quarter. Let's hope they don't blow the momentum with stupidity like $10 data up-charges.
