10.00 Smart Phone Fee

Does anyone know which plans are exempt? I remember in the email it said some plans are not going to be charged.

We are on a business plan, we get 1 year upgrades at 2 year prices, etc. etc.

How would I check to see if we will be charged when swapping or adding new smart phones? We have had sprint since 1999, and just split off into 2 separate business plans.

There's no specific price plans that do not require the $10.00 Premium Data charge. Currently, all types of plans, including the Business and Employee plans, add this charge.

The exception is certain corporate accounts that have a contract with Sprint that specificly states they are exempt from this charge. All regular Business account types do require the charge.

Do you happen to know exactly what your account type and subtype is listed as in Sprint's systems? If you call and ask, we can figure out for sure whether or not you'll be charged.

I will call and ask, I was thinking of giving my Optimus to someone else on the plan and getting a blackberry. Not having a keyboard has gotten very annoying, but if I have to pay 10.00 more I might just deal with it.

I know were on a Sprint Business account and we have the unlimited data and messaging plan 1500 any mobile any time and we get a 14% discount.

Currently you only get charged that fee for new activations and upgrades. It applies to all acount types as far as I know. Business accounts may get this waived depending on the situation. The best thing to do would be to call Sprint and request the business premier dept. They will be able to help you out on the issue better than anybody else.

Got this from Sprint! I am thinking of selling my Optimus on eBay and getting the Blackberry flip, I hate texting without a keyboard.
